We just returned from Casa Bambu. It was my husband and I, our nanny and her fiance, and our two small children. We only took one tour during our week-long stay, because we were content to just stay at that beautiful house. To wake up every morning to the sound of the beach, the sound of the howler monkeys, and... More

We have been wanting to stay at Casa Bambu for several years. We finally got our chance in December and it did not disappoint. We stayed in Casa Linda and every morning, in addition to amazing sunrises over the Gulf, we saw monkeys, scarlett macaws and toucans and that was just from sitting on our front porch. Everyday we saw... More

Our family of 7 ranging in age from 19 to 62 spent a week at Casa Bambu and never ran out of things to do. The house is in an idyllic setting, with a beautiful view of the ocean and abundant wildlife to see and hear right from the front porch. Breeding scarlet macaws, all four kinds of monkeys, an... The Casa Bambu owners have four houses (google Casa Bambu and you can see them). We stayed at La Pina. It was perfect -- a spatious simple but comfortable open-air house, with views to the trees, through which four species of monkeys traveled, and over which the scarlet macaws flew daily. We had done adventurous things before arrival, and wanted... More

We stayed "Punta Sonada" (Dream Point) and it was just perfect for our little family. We had a main house and small guest house, 14 acres of land and a "Gulfo Dulce" beach front. Spent six nights and enjoyed every minute of it. Great kitchen for home cooked meals and plenty of space to relax and enjoy the views. Many... More

Words cannot describe this land of paradise. I have never been somewhere that felt so alive and that made me feel so alive, so primitive, so small. Be one with nature at Casa Bambu. These "casas" constructed of bambu sit where beach meets rainforest. The casas are simply beautiful, and have everything you need and nothing you don't! The backyard... More

We were a party of 7 adults staying at Casa Bambu, the La Pina house to be specific. With this review I speak for all 7 of us. Booking the stay at the house with Lyn was great. We had a million questions and she was more than happy to answer ALL of them prior to our departure. She supplied... More

The week at La Sonrisa was the perfect family vacation before our children leave the nest. No worries, no distractions in this tropical paradise. The jungle called to explore the trails and waterfalls and the Corcovado National Park was amazing in its diversity. The only reason to get out of the warm Gulf water was to eat or drink. Otherwise... More

This March, my family rented "La Sonrisa" (one of 4 bamboo houses connected with Casa Bambu) for a week. The three generations of family -- my parents, my husband and I, and our three children -- all loved it. While technically, the house is a vacation rental, the expereince is a cross between a rental house and a resort stay.... More
