Our stay was the highlight of our trip. We felt close to wildlife but comfortable (no biting insects or other visitors indoors). We saw three kinds of monkeys during our stay, we could watch them from our room! At night we were lulled to sleep by the frogs singing and the ocean (we were in the cabin closest to the... More

What a discovery. Very comfortable cabinas. Lodge very respectful of nature. Food was excellent. Staff very pleasant. Don't miss the margaritas at the nearby bar. There is also a very nice walk in a small river that takes you to a nice fall. We would go back without any hesitation.

The location is fantastic, in a beautiful garden right on the beach, and the buildings and furniture are creatively built of local materials. I got a room upgrade to a very private cabin, which was very nice and a great place from which to watch birds and monkeys in the forest. I was disappointed that daily yoga classes did not... More

we had a beautiful Cabina with a comfortable bed and an outdoor bathroom. It's great to chill in the hammock and watch the monkeys and birds. The dinner and breakfast is homemade and delicious! We will be back!

The most beautiful setting - serenades from the macaws and monkeys and the rest of the animals - sunrise over the sea seen from our bed in a hand built cabin full of wonderful details - the hand carved sink - Nico's oh-so-delicious cooking. Mark's brilliant hand-crafted one of a kind furniture, The hard part is deciding which hammock to... More

I have stayed at Ojo 4 times over the last 5 years and I keep returning to enjoy this slice of paradise in the jungle. The food is truly fantastic and innovative using mostly local ingredients in ways that I never dreamed. I love the cabina's nestled in the jungle, each a little different but all comfortably appointed. The real... More

I stayed here for a yoga retreat over the Christmas holiday season. It is such a calm, peaceful and relaxing place to stay with great quiet open concept facilities. There is nothing like waking up each day to both the sound of the ocean and the jungle. It is conveniently located half way between Puerto Jimenez and Corcovado National Park... More

Two of my friends and I decided to travel here based on our research of eco-tourism spots in Costa Rica. We had such a great time staying with our lovely hosts, Nico and Mark. Their friendliness and hospitality truly made us feel right at home in the tropical rain forest. There were so many activities to choose from, but we... More

Good thing we reserved well in advance as we came over the Christmas holiday and it was fully booked. Costa Rica is not known for it's cuisine and this was a wonderful exception. Nico is a terrific chef and dinner (an extra charge of 19.00USD per person) was fresh, local and delicious. They know all the local guides and adventures... More
