We stayed at El Remanso 05-11Nov. We booked "La Guinda" many months in advance as I had my heart set on this secluded cabin which is a short walk from the main lodge. I knew we were in great hands right from the beginning thanks to Gabby (Reservations Manager) who is very efficient, organized and professional. This great first impression... More

The Osa Peninsula was the highlight of our vacation! El Remanso was absolutely wonderful! We had so much fun and the tours were amazing! Our guide was Gerardo and he was the best guide! He showed us sloths, scorpions, and we even got to release a poisones snake! The tours we took were the Bird Watching Tour, The Night Tour,... More

We can't say enough positive things about El Remanso. If you're looking to experience an unspoiled rainforest -- one of the most biologically diverse habitats on earth -- consider staying here. The lodge is beautiful and the staff is absolutely amazing. The guided tours are highly recommended. Marlon and Jera, our guides on several hikes, are full of knowledge about... More

What can I say about El Remanso that hasn't already been said? Firstly, Daniel and Adriana are two genuinely warm, friendly, and caring people who sought to create something different at El Remanso. Combining the most pristine natural surroundings of a wildlife preserve with private cabins, expert tours, and gourmet cuisine, El Remanso exceed all our expectations. We purchased a... More

We really couldn't praise this lodge enough. This was our first visit to Costa Rica and we wanted to stay somewhere luxurious, but also in the rainforest so that we could experience as much of it as possible. El Remanso lodge sits on a hill overlooking the Pacific and it is surrounded by the rainforest and blends sympathetically into it.... More

Maybe the most unique and nicest places a person can stay. Stayed three nights at the lodge and took advantage of the tours and great food. Words can't explain on how you treated by the friendly staff, the wildlife that you view, and the lifelong memories that you have forever. If you are looking for a unique stay with lasting... More

This is by far the best place I have ever stayed, not only in Costa Rica but anywhere in the world! The lodge's location is absolutely beautiful with stunning views from both the rooms and the restaurant/bar. When we had breakfast we saw many types of birds and animals including Scarlet Macaws, Toucans and a group of White-faced Capuchins! The... More

My husband, three boys and I stayed at El Remanso for the last three nights of our two week stay in Costa Rica. We arrived with high hopes as this lodge had come highly recommended to us and it did not for a moment disappoint. From our initial arrival and warm greeting from the manager Sylvia and the staff, all... More

My wife, daughter and myself stayed a week at El Remanso with the active package. The location is fantastic, the lodge is perfectly integrated into the environment but the best of all were the people working there and the management. Great attention to detail, always available with a smile and the guides were very well prepared and ready to answer... More

Spent three nights here while hiking/moving through the Costa Rican Rainforest. What a treat. Large property (not in terms of number of rooms) with lots of areas to hike and explore, largely untouched by humans - and full of animals. Monkeys, Parrots, Birds, etc. If you want wildlife in Costa Rica, this is the place for it. Food, was fantastic.... More
