I stayed at Luna Llena for three nights and had one of the upstairs room with an ocean view. It was very nice and I have recommended it to every traveller I've met that's going to Montezuma. The hostel is up a bit of a steep hill, but it only takes 5 minutes to walk to town. The room we... More

We had a great week in Montezuma staying at Luna Llena. Very convenient location just up the hill from the town, and fantastic communal spaces that really encourage socialising with other guests - we met some lovely people and enjoyed chatting to people from lots of different countries. Excellent clean communal kitchen too. We travelled with our 2 year old... More

I was glad I stayed a night here up the hill from the main part of the street. It was cleaner than the cheaper hostels "downtown." I thought the BBQ dinner was worth it and one of the best meals I had on the trip. It also had the prettiest views from the hill. Slighter more $, but a beautiful... More

We got the best room of this very sympathetic B&B/hostel. Very basic (can't aks for more considering the price), with private bathroom and an AMAZING view from our private balcony: just forest and the bay of Nicoya in front of us. They have hostel-style accomodations too so lots of young people stay there. But the place lacks the atmosphere of... More

I had booked this online and from seeing their website, we were so excited to check it out. The location was great, walking distance to town, amazing views and tons of wildlife to keep you entertained. Great atmosphere in the communal areas and the place was spotless but....then it was time to call it a night and go to sleep.... More

The location was awesome - right up the hill from town, no more than a 3 minute walk. The balconys, common areas, and overall vibe of the hostel is fantastic. The staff is wonderful. My only downfall of this beautiful place was the bug problem. Now, I understand that we are in the jungle, but we had to sleep with... More

We had a wonderful time here, stayed a week and didn't want to leave! We saw more wildlife in our first hour here than we had on the rest of our trip.... The daily visits from the monkeys were always something to look forward to. The pics online really don't do any justice, this place is full of atmosphere, lots... More

This had good communal areas, views over the sea and plenty of howler monkeys to entertain us over breakfast. We had a room on the top floor of the main building. The room itself was a good size, although the walls were thin and the beds weren't very comfortable. Also there was only one toilet, which isn't enough for the... More

This little place is gorgeous! It sits on a hill engulfed in trees and is jam packed with wildlife! The rooms are cute and simple and the beds are comfy. The community area is beautiful with plenty of seating and a public kitchen. Hot showers and clean toilets. Even though the community area closes at 11:00 we stayed out and... More

Pros: - Amazing location. Close enough to town that you can pop home easily during the day, but far enough away that you don't hear the noise. - The ridiculously awesome view! It's a little obscured by trees, but it's breathtaking if you can find a good spot to peer out from. - Lots of common space to hang out,... More
