I have nothing but great things to say about this place and the owners. The cabins allow you to enjoy the beauty of the property and still give you privacy. You can easily walk to Montezuma during from day (which is downhill) or take a taxi for a few dollars. I would stay here again if I am in Montezuma.

We had the red cabin and it was wonderfull to wake up with nature sounds and enjoy you own made breakfast at the porch watching birds, squirrels and cappucinmonkeys. Cathrin is very helpfull and friendly. She did our laudry which smellt really good. Would go there again. You need your own car while it is a 3 km drive to... More

We stayed in the Casas Colores during low season (rainy season). Originally, we planned to be in Montezuma for two nights only. Due to our excellent accommodation, we found ourselves staying all six nights until the end of our vacation. These points we enjoyed most: + very friendly family-run houses + amazingly simple yet beautiful houses (built and run w/... More

We were heading to Montezuma late in the night after the long day of travel, tired and minded about no-hotel advance reservation. 1km before Montezuma CasaColores sign greeted us on the road (well, fair to say no-asfalt-road). We gave it a try and Ruben, the host, met us very kindly, showed around and suggested to stay for the night in... More

Loved the location, close to visiting beaches all over the southern Nicoya Peninsula. Montezuma is a fun place to spend time. Bungalow was clean and cozy with a great porch to watch the storms in the green season. Very nice pool to unwind in after a day of trekking in the rain forest or surfing on one of the many... More

Spent four nights at Casa Colores in May 2014. Really enjoyed the quiet, laid back atmosphere. Ruben and Catrine are very gracious and hospitable hosts who treated us like family. Ruben showed up one morning with a large handfull of just-picked star fruit. Delicious! There are a couple of friendly dogs that seem to know everyone, who will suddenly appear... More

My 30 y.o. daughter, an outdoor education teacher, and I spent 2 nights here in late March 2014, recommended by a friend. It is up, up, up the hill (1 km) from Montezuma, away from the noise and hub-bub. While no one would call Casacolores elegant, the rooms were spacious, clean and well stocked for meal prep. It felt like... More

We stayed here for three nights in late Feb 2014. We'd been to Montezuma before and had stayed in town. We couldn't find a room in town so we ended up here. It was serendipidous to land here. Very clean, quiet(not for the party crowd!!!), large cabina with a nice porch, full kitchen, and pool, we were very pleased to... More

There for one night only part of a long drive tour through Costa Rica. I booked this cabin in the morning from another hotel, it was the las cabin, and I consider myself lucky. The place is very nice, Owners are very kind and helpful, they brought spices, cooking oil and everything else needed to cook breakfast, very quiet and... More

We so enjoyed our stay in Montezuma at this authentic and well priced cabin. We had the Rose colored house and it was equipped with a kitchenette and utensils, plates and pans for cooking. With three beds in one room and a Queen sized bed in the other, it sleeps up to 6 people. The pool is a few steps... More
