The grounds were really cool, lots of lush greenery and beautiful plants. Our room was at the top of a set of about 40 narrow stairs, which made it very hard to climb and were very dark at night. Our AC did not work well, it was really warm in our room. Our room was supposed to have a hammock,... More

Greetings for Hotel El Jardin! Thank you very much for your input and comments about our wonderful property in Montezuma. As per your comments: - Thanks for the compliments about our lush gardens, we work very hard to keep them as nice as they are. - We give you room #9 which is located, indeed, at the top of our... Recently I spent two weeks at the El Jardin Hotel in Montezuma. It was wonderful. The staff were friendly and accommodating. They all made us feel welcomed. The maids kept the rooms very clean. The grounds were well kept and secure. The gardens were full of colorful blooms and ornamental tropical plants. The fridge and air conditioner were nice to... More

My two friends and I had a lovely stay at Hotel el Jardin. Our room was clean and pleasant with lots of natural light and the a/c worked very well. The grounds, including the pool, were very beautiful and extremely well maintained. We liked that the hotel was in town, but our room was still quiet and peaceful. Not on... More

We absolutely loved this place! The location is perfect. It's on the hill above town (town is only 2 roads...very small) so you can walk everywhere. I was at first a little dissappointed about my very small room, but we actually grew to love it quickly. I had asked for a basic room for 2, which is what I got.... More

Stayed at El Jardin for the first 4 nights of a trip to Costa Rica. The place is right at the main interestion of town basically so it's a fantastic location and the hotel is recessed up the hill on very very well manicured grounds. The setting is fantastic because the property is so nice, and it's really cool to... More

My second trip to Montezuma and El Jardin, was as wonderful as I remember it. The rooms were clean, and maintained everyday by the lovely staff. The grounds were stunning, and again maintained every day. We found the rooms and the grounds very private, but close enough to the town to get in on some action. It is surprising to... More

Just recently stayed at Hotel El Jardin and cannot say enough of the wonderful place. (If possible I would recommend asking for a room above the pool with hammocks, etc.). Originally we were given a room, #15, which was below the pool and asked if we could move. The hotel staff was great and moved us to one of the... More

Stayed here due to the fact that it had rained solid for three weeks and we needed dry and comfortable at a reasonable cost - and that's what we got. Basic, clean, in need of a little tlc, but you get what you pay for and it was clean

If you stay outside of the room it's beautiful. Landscaping and pool nice. Paper thin ceilings and a constant gush of water on the bathroom floor of unknown origin left the accomodations less than desirable. If you do decide to stay at this place do NOT book tours through them. They WILL overcharge you and add a percentage if you... More

All of the staff at El Jardin made our stay of 4 nights in Montezuma most wonderful. Their quick and lengthy replies to my many e-mails were most appreciated and with their help, we were able to make informed decisions about our wonderful day at Isla Tortuga, our hike to the waterfalls in Montezuma as well as our delicious New...
