THe rooms at this hotel vary quite a bit. There were 6 of us. 4 of us stayed in one of the street-level rooms with 2 queen beds. 2 stayed in one of the cabins at the VERY top of the hill - which provided a good view and seemed much cleaner and nicer. Montezuma beach wasn't quite what I... More

Having had a confirmed reservation (with a confirmation number), we were put in an awful position when we arrived and no rooms were available for our stay. I met a couple the week before who had the same situation happen, so it's apparently not uncommon. Additionally, the manager was not available so nothing was done to help us. Fortunately, the... My feelings for El Jardin are mixed. I spent there four nights with my family. We had the cottage on top of the hill, right next to the jungle. The setting is perfect with a beautiful view. We were woken up every morning at 5AM by monkeys. Montezuma is a wonderful small place with plenty of interesting restaurants and great... More

We rolled into town without reservations and found that the town was pretty packed. We were able to get the last room at El Jardin for $95/night (The most we paid for anywhere in four trips to Costa Rica). The room was pretty basically furnished and dark with crappy lighting (fluorescent light bulbs) that was so dim you couldn't read... More

This hotel is beautiful. The staff is friendly, the grounds are beautiful. no restaurant onsite but plenty to choose from just a few meters away. No Wi-Fi while we were there but the staff told us it was going to be installed in December 2008. the ppols are gorgeous and the town is a great place to stay. Totally recommend... More

This hotel is a great all around for certain people. I wouldnt recommendthis hotel for someone who is looking for a nice resort or a really nice room with tv, phone & internet then this isnt the hotel for you. I traveled to Montezuma to relax, explore, and most importantly escape tv and phones! So for me this was perfect.... More

As soon as we saw this hotel we knew that this is where we want to stay. It is probably the most expensive hotel in town but what is $60 divided by 3... Unique Qualities: It has the most beautiful garden I saw anywhere in Costa Rica, domestic Iguana, koatis walking around, two small pools with a jacuzzi and very... More

Such a great spot. Right in town, yet quiet. Very clean, well-run and kid-friendly. The pool is amazing. The staff ROCKS. Esteban and Gustavo helped us enormously, and were very cool as well!!! We could not have asked for a better place to stay in Montezuma.

I stayed for three nights at El Jardin in Montezuma. The grounds of the hotel are nice, as well as the rooms and furnishing, however it does not justify the high price of the hotel, which is especially inflated during peak season. The sound proofing in between rooms in a little poor. They were the hotel I stayed at in... More
