This was meant to be the 'luxurious' portion of the two week vacation I took in CR with two friends from law school. We kind of broke the bank staying at the Ylang but figured that our lines of credit were so bad, it didn't matter...plus we stayed in more budget oriented hotels for the rest of our stay so... More

Dear Guest, Many thanks to you and your friends for staying at Ylang Ylang. I read and re-read and yet read again your commentary and all I can say is thank you for your compliments as there are quite a few. In fact, even some of what you consider negative would be taken as a plus by people looking for... More

My wife and I spent two nights in one of the Ylang Ylang's beachside bungalows in late March, 2007. Unfortunately for us, it was near the end of our time in Costa Rica, or we would certainly have done our best to extend our time there. It was superb in every way. We loved the bugalows (although sharing your room... More

If someone were to tell me that not even 24 hours into our stay, my husband would be hooked up to an IV attached to the mosquito net, well, you know...Throughout the ordeal, the staff at this beautiful resort were just great. As it turns out, it was dehydration, so my first advice for visiting is to drink lots of... More

I can't say enough about Ylang Ylang in Montezuma. This beautiful hotel has everything going for it: serene beachfront location, superb staff and service, great rooms, amazing food. The grounds of Ylang Ylang are simply beautiful, not like those horrible McResorts with over-manicured lawns. Every bungalow and room feels secluded and it seems every room has a view of the... More

The Ylang Ylang resort was an experience like no other we have had... We stayed in a bungalow nesseled in the jungle, just steps from the ocean. It was open air (no screens/no glass). We feel this was part of the Costa RIcan experience. We could hear the ocean and the wildlife every night. The resort promised we'd see wildlife... More

I hate writing a bad review but Ylang Ylang did not live up to our expectations. My boyfriend and I were expecting to spend 3 nights in a romantic beach front room but we ended up switching to a room in town due to the problems with our room at Ylang Ylang. Montezuma is an amazing place but there are... More

The Ylang Ylang Beach Resort is one of the most unique places we have ever stayed at. This resort was AMAZING. Upon arrival we were in another place. A jeep takes you from the Hotels in Town restaurant, across the beach and up to the door of the reception. Everything about this place screams unique! The buildings are all freestanding... More

Ylang Ylang is amazing, set on the beach front, backing onto the Jungle. Service is great, everyone is super friendly. Bring cash or travellers checks to pay for extra activities such as horse riding etc. There are no banks or ATM machines in town. We stayed in the private bungalows & Jungalows (tents), both were fabulous. One point that made... More

The Ylang Ylang is a gem of a resort. i hesitate to write a review, only because i almost want to keep it a secret... The location cannot be beat if you are looking to truly get away from it all. You are in easy walking distance from the very laidback little village of Montezuma. We stayed in Dome #4... More

A friend took me to Ylang Ylang but I had no idea whatsoever that it would be THAT beautiful. We got there at night and I had the impression we almost went through the sea to get there. The scenery is absolutely magnificent, you walk in a huge tropical garden and the view on the ocean simply breathtaking. You can... More
