I stayed at Anamaya for a month for a Yoga Teacher Training. First off, the grounds and the views are great. But what really made the stay was the staff and their attention to detail. They listen to your needs and will adapt where feasible. They truly made the trip special!

I spent two weeks at Anamaya, and I loved everything about it. I have been to five other yoga retreats around the world, and Anamaya is my favorite. The location (both in nature and the facilities) is actually much prettier than all the beautiful photos. The food is gourmet (fresh, healthy, creatively presented) five times per day. The staff treats... More

If Yoga, surfing, eating healthy and being eco consciousness is your thing...then this is a have to destination for your next adventure vacation. Two years ago I attended a Yoga teacher training here for a month, and did not want to leave this slice of heaven. Now just two years later, I am back, and after just one week, I'm... More

I lived in this place for a month.Literally. I promise to myself I will try to make my way back for a week retreat every year for the rest of my life. I went to Anamaya for my yoga teaching training program and as my birthday present to find my inner self , be a goddess and to escape my... More

Sleeping in the middle of the rainforest, waking up at sunrise to the sound of monkeys, taking outdoor showers, every morning yoga overlooking the most beautiful views of the Pacific coast of Costa Rica, surfing, eating fresh organic food everyday, getting to know some amazing people - truly Pura Vida. Very healing and soulful experience - a gem in Montezuma... More

Visit Anamayas' website and you'll get a tenth of an inkling of how beautiful this resort is. Google Anamaya Resort, and you'll see photos of Anamaya alumni whose lives have been changed by it - it's a soulful experience. Everyone on the staff, from housekeeping to the owner, is personable, welcoming, caring, and available. Those on staff with specialty skills... More

This summer I spent a total of 9 weeks at Anamaya taking two teacher trainings with a retreat sandwiched in the middle. Bottom-line, Anamaya is like a home to me, and the staff and owners, well, they are family. Everyone is well aware of the amazing views, food, and gorgeous accommodations, but what they may not be aware of is... More

I chose Anamaya for a yoga retreat after a tough start to the year and it has been without a doubt the most wonderful experience of my life. It is such a healing and welcoming place that myself and the people I was with didn't want to leave. The food was delicious, the staff were lovely, the yoga teacher Emily... More

Spent a week at Anamaya doing some yoga and surfing. I had some serious reservations and was skeptical of the glowing reviews on trip advisor. Well I am now singing their praises. I typically don't write reviews but believe that anyone considering a yoga retreat should seriously consider ANAMAYA. The staff and the attention to the care and well being... More

I was impressed by the photos on the website...the photos and the reviews made this place seem to good to be true. And yet my expectations were exceeded in every way! I actually went in April 2013, and still keep in touch with all of the people who were there that week. We have a Facebook group, and multiple people... More
