We took a chance and booked this hotel for five nights, going by unanimously positive reviews on TripAdvisor, and we could not have been happier with it. Absolutely amazing place. Lodge/rooms were perfect, extremely clean, and newly decorated. Jose and his family were so incredible, super friendly and helpful. A home away from home. The breakfast we really good too. Very family oriented. Would stay here again with out a doubt. more

This is a very good value hotel a close walk (up a steep hill) from Santa Elena town in Monteverde. The owner, Jose, is very friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean and pleasant but basic. The included breakfast is very good. Jose recommended his friend's restaurant, El Novillo, and the food there was excellent. more
