The location of the hotel is fine. The grounds are nice. The rooms are basic (with a million light switches for some reason). No tv which was great. Monteverde Lodge & Gardens is not a 5 star resort by any means, but the grounds and, more importantly, the staff, make up for it. We arrived to the hotel nearly 4 hours before check-in time.
