Stayed here for 3 nights, cabin # 7. Beds were decent, shower had lots of hot water. They are very spartan, though; due to the weather we spent several hours inside every afternoon and without a TV - and the wi-fi signal was so weak it was unusable - it was quite boring. The hosts were very friendly (like most... More

We stayed at Cabinas Capulin for 4 nights during our honeymoon in Costa Rica in September 2011. Though we spent the first 2 nights in one of the older cabins which was a little basic, we spent the last 2 in Cabin 7, which had amazing views and a lovely bathroom with mosaic tiling. This is a family run business... More

Roy was very nice and i'm sure wanted us to have a good night in our cabina, but the night was kind of a mess. Upon arrival everything seemed fine...there was a bunch of ants in front of our cabin, which was fine as long as they weren't coming inside. our comforters were kind of dirty, with some dead ants,... We were two families traveling together and stayed at the Casa de Montana. The four bedrooms could easily accommodate all of us. The entire cabin is full of wood furniture, which gives it a nice rustic mountain touch. The cabins are at various levels on the hillside and Casa de Montana is on its own level. We had great privacy... More

Stayed for 2 days in Cabin 5. They have a great patio overlooking the forest where you can relax and read a book. Cabins are clean and bathrooms are good. Shower was great with good hot water. Staff is helpful and will arrange for your trips and provide good information. Biggest drawback is it is far from the town center... More

My best friend and I stayed here for the one night we stayed in Monteverde. The cabins were clean and comfortable and had a spectacular view of the cloud forest that can't be beat! The breakfast in the morning was delicious and overall the staff was very helpful, letting us know if they would be away from the front office... More

We stayed at the Cabinas Capulin for one night last month. Whenever we arrived, there was a young girl who gave us very simple directions to our cabin and not much information about the place or where we were in relation to other points. We actually had some issues finding our cabin because there was no signage saying where to... More

We stayed at Cabinas Capulin at the end of our trip through Costa Rica and in comparison to other places we stayed, it represents poor value. Most of the positive reviews here are for the 2 or 4 bedroom cabins. The 1 bedroom cabins are seriously average. Roy is great. He is super helpful, very friendly and he did everything... More

My husband and I recently spent a weekend in Monteverde. We had intended to stay In Los Pinos, but since they were booked, we chose Cabinas Capulin, which we really enjoyed. Cabinas Capulin is owned by a friendly and accommodating local family. They gave us Cabin 6, as we wanted a kitchen, and we were immediately surprised by the incredible... More

We came with five & left with two... meaning three of our crew had to head home before two of us did and the two of us who could stay were the lucky ones. We spent one night in a four bedroom cabin at Cabinas Capulin and then a friend & I spent two additional nights in a two bedroom... More
