There is so much right at Arenas Del Mar - first thing I noticed when we walked into our suite was a tree obstructing our ocean beach view, I love how they built this hotel around nature- they actually cut out slightly our balcony to be sure the tree could continue to thrive - to say this family holiday was... My husband and I stayed on Arenas del Mar for our honey moon, it was a beautiful experience, the hotel is great, the spa is very good, and we liked above all the eco-friendly experience. The Beach "La Espadilla" is breathtaking, and the sunsets just amazing. The only thing they could improve on, would be modernizing the rooms and the... More

We stayed here for two nights, but then switched to another hotel because the room price was going to go up to $710 a night! That is insane for a developing country! The hotel is very nice with a helpful staff, but does not seem worth the money. My pedicure and manicure cost $85 at the hotel's spa and was... More

From the second we arrived at this hotel we felt special. The welcome was warm and inviting even though we arrived 6 hrs before check in. They got us in our room early by 10:30. From that point in every staff member knew our name and details - what we liked to eat, when we worked out, our room number... More

Our first visit to Costa Rica - after extensive research of places to stay, we went with Arenas Del Mar due to the comments on the resort and where the resort was located. Absolutely NO disappointment. This resort is one of a kind and if you want the best of both worlds - jungle and ocean - you will have... More

We visited in early February '14 and experienced perfect beach weather. No rain, a light ocean breeze and highs in the low 90s. The Ocean water was warm and refreshing. We arrived by limo transfer (arranged by Swiss Travel Service) from San Jose, a 3 to 3.5 hour drive (with a couple of sightseeing stops). The new highway 27 going... More

This was the best vacation getaway ever! The setting is so beautiful, the wildlife and natural vegetation are beyond explanation but most of all the staff were caring, attentive, friendly. They were really happy we came and made us feel like their family. In fact, we were invited to a daily work out routine with the resort management every morning... More

What a great resort! It was by far the nicest resort we saw in this area. It is spread out over many acres of beachfront property with two restaurants/bars, two pools and two beaches. We stayed in the ocean breeze suites which was very spacious had a lovely porch overlooking the beach and was next to the most private of... More

Dear Neannie, greetings from hot and sunny Manuel Antonio. We are very thankful that you took the time to write such a wonderful review about your stay with us at Arenas del Mar. While we don't think we are a "perfect" resort quite yet, we try very hard to exceed the expectations of our guests with our service, food and... More

This is my second 8 day visit to Arenas del Mar, my first was back in August of 2010. This trip seemed even more magical than the last. Though the scenery didn't change (as it shouldn't) the enmities of the resort were drastically improved. There were many more things to do inside the resort now than before. The hotel is... More

This was our second visit to Arenas del Mar and we rarely repeat a vacation because so often the second time can be a let down. No let down at Arenas. I booked sort of late directly with Ronny in reservations (1-877 number) and he was so helpful in finding nice oceanfront accommodations for 5 nights...we were in building number... More
