This is a difficult hotel to rate. The problem is that the rooms vary somewhat in quality, definitely vary in view and the owner is temperamental, being very nice to some and downright rude to others. But with that said, it can be a great place to stay. We just spent two weeks here in January and we specifically chose... More

We booked this hotel through booking.com. When we arrived we asked to see our room. It smelled moldy and was filthy. The manager tried to say it was the wood floor. She then showed us another room which was just as disqusting as the first one. My husband turned on the bathroom sink tap and she asked him why he... More

We stayed here as part of a tour and I thought it was fine and am surprised by the amount of bad reviews. We stayed in one of the top level rooms and found it clean and tidy. Had both a tv and fridge in the room. Food in the place is ok. Breakfast is fine too you're not staying... More

My wife and I stayed at that place for 3 nights and enjoyed it. The hotel is well located and all the staff were friendly especially the manager (I believe her name is Anita). The hotel is within 50 meters from the beach and about 750 meters from Manuel Antonio National Park. Restaurants are within walking distance. We paid 70... More

Wow! Ive never been treated so badly in my life. Take it from me. DO NOT STAY HERE. When we walked up to check in some one was leaving telling us to not stay here its awful. Well we were so tired from traveling from Panama we decided to just stay. The Korean lady who runs this place treated everyone... More

Having read the reviews, I was a bit concerned booking but there was no other choice at the last minute for Manuel Antonio. I decided to go for it as I figured I wouldn't be spending much time in the room anyway. It turns out, we were very pleasantly surprised. We had a room in the upper building (tough slog... More

This place is a dump, which is difficult in such a beautiful location, Unfortunately we had to stay here as we didn't reserve and couldn't find another room, but we were overcharged (an unbelievable $155 dollars a night) for a room with no hot water and cockroaches everywhere. The room was depressing and shabby and you're made to pay in... More

We landed a room for $30/night. It was advertised as that. If we had paid any more, the review circles would start falling. Pros : when it comes to traveling Central America, this was cheaper than the hostels in the area for 2 people. Hot water, which seems standard in Costa but we've been out of the loop for awhile.... Overall a decent place to stay. Walking distance to village and beach. Comfortable room with hot shower. But, don't get the breakfast. It was a horrible breakfast. We would give it a higher rating if we had a decent breakfast. Tibor & Laura
