Vista Serena was a little piece of paradise! I intended to stay for 2 nights, but I extended a night because it was just so hard to leave. Vista Serena is incredibly laid-back, and everyone is immediately treated like family. The staff do absolutely everything they can to make each guest and comfortable as possible. Leah was especially involved in... More

I stayed at Hostel Vista Serena for 4 days and loved every minute of it. I came to Costa Rica not knowing anyone and Leah at the front desk immediately booked tours for me and introduced me around to the other guests so I made friends quickly. The hostel was incredibly clean and had the best food (and prices!) in... More

Located on a hill with beautiful views, sunsets are amazing. We stayed in a twin room + shared bathroom with another room. We had a whole cabin with kitchen, living room, TV, DVD as well as own terrace with hammocks. On the down side the rooms are tiny. A place to relax and meet people, full of young backpackers who... We stayed the night upstairs at the Loma Linda. This is a complete house. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs and rooms downstairs. The downstairs rooms are separate from upstairs. The 'Master bedroom' upstairs has the private bathroom just off the bedroom(as in American houses. The 2 bedroom has their bathroom off the hallway. The house is wonderful, full kitchen, and great... What a great find! Intended to stay 3-4 nights, but stayed a full week. It was so laid back and relaxing with a totally amazing view of the Pacific--the best in Manuel Antonio. The owner was amazing making breakfast for guests in the little cafe'. Steve's tiny 'super' had practically anything you might want and Conrad was a great host.... More

We are a little disappointed with this hostel. The 'premium' dorm has no space to put 4 bacpacks or dress yourself. The shower and toilet are shared with two other 'premium' dorms which means twelve beds share one bathroom. No wifi connection in room. Breakfast is really poor. Furthermore staff wasnt very welcoming nor helpfull in advising us how to... More

The 16 bed dorm isn't this place's strong point- feels like a bit of an after-thought and not in tune with the character of the rest of the place. The food from the kitchen is very tasty, and the views from the terrace are pretty awesome. Staff friendly and the place is clean. If you are lucky enough to get... More

I have been traveling all over the world and stay in many hostel in my life but nothing can compare to Vista Serena! This place has a special energy. It has magic. It is a combination of a lot of positive factors. The staff is great and the view is even better. I was in this hostel for three nights... More

Amazing place to stay in manuel antonio. Of course, the hostel is a bit far from the beach and we have to take the bus to get there, but what we have incredible views back! The staff was very friendly. There is even a small market to buy our fruit behind. One evening we saw a baby sloth wow! The... More

I've stayed in hostels all over Costa Rica, and Vista Serena is by far the cleanest, coolest one I've been to. In a lot of cases you get what you pay for, but the view alone at this place is worth the money. I originally booked a bed in the large dorm, but they put me in the smaller 4... More
