I stayed here for the for the first part of my trip, the view is lovely and buses can be caught right outside to go to the national park. Place feels really safe and reception will look after passports if you ask! Kitchen facilities available, Hammocks free to lazy around in.. Perfect.. While you're in Manuel Antonio, visit the falafel... More

Stayed in a 4 person dorm with air conditioning which was so worth the extra couple of dollars. The floor of the dorm wasn't very clean and neither were the showers and toilets. The view here is great and the staff are very helpful. Breakfast is average, just bread and jam. Overall a good stay, mainly because of the staff... More

This is the perfect place to stay going to explore Manuel Antonio National Park. The bus stop to the National Park is just there and you are close enough to the hidden private beach, ask in the front desk about it and they will give you directions. Great common area where you can met people all around the world. Vista... More

Stayed here for 3-4 nights when visiting Manuel Antonio. Great spot, relaxing atmosphere and great views, especially in the evening. Its a five minute walk from the bus stop (located opposite the football field). Next to the field you will also find a small supermarket if you need to buy supplies. I'd also recommend trying the pizza place exactly opposite... More

Went here during semana Santa so I'm not going to nit pick. Great view, loved the owners. Was told coffee isn't until 7, but the night guard starts early which I loved. Its far from town, but the bus is easy and frequent enough. Bathroom could have been cleaner and sometimes I felt like I got an attitude from one... More

I booked at Hostel Vista Serena because of hearing so many good things from fellow travellers, and within about 5 seconds of arriving I knew I had chosen the right place. The outdoor terrace is a wonderful place to soak in the sunset, meet new people and relax in a hammock. The 16-bed dorm was very quiet and comfortable, and... More

Before you read through this entire review - I want to lay out the situation so you can see if it's fitting to your style of travel. We were a group of 4 easy going mid 20/early 30 year olds, who were looking for a relaxing but social hostel situation and we got EXACTLY what we we had hoped for.... More

First of all, I chose this hostel because everybody kept telling me that the view must be fantastic and they were not wrong. It is extraordinary beautiful and just fantastic to wake up to and have your free breakfast to. Moreover, it is just a great place to be. The staff is super friendly (I just don't understand some other... More

My mother and I stayed at Vista Serena for a week during a very busy time of the year and we have no complaints, only good things to say about the hostel and the area. It is clean, comfortable and safe. We stayed in the four bed shared dorm, which had a nice fan and windows so we had a... More

Great location. I stayed in a private apartment which was exceptionally nice and clean. This is a really good hostel. The staff were very friendly, and helpful with booking excursions. They are not just out to get a commission.
