First up, the view and the balcony was pretty cool. Getting robbed of all my cash ($600)only minutes before I left the place wasn't so cool. Days later I heard from people I met there that they also got robbed. The locals explained that it was nothing unusual at Vista Serena. Watch your cash, electronics and clothing! more

very nice hostel with hammocks, shared kitchen, tv, dvd's books to read. good place to stay for a cheap price. it's not walking distance to Manual Antonio park though... you might need a cab more

MY friends and I stayed at Vista Serena for 3 nights in the shared dorm room. We had a great experience. The staff was very helpful. The porch was perfect for watching sunsets and relaxing in hammocks. It was a very friendly atmosphere. more

My friend and I stayed at the Vista Serena Hostel for three days in Mid-November and had a great time. The location is within walking distance of restaurants, atms, and a grocery store but not the beach. That is really the only drawback to this hostel.However one can catch the bus right down the street to get to the beach.... more
