A group of ten women who graduated from high school together in Denver, Colorado over thirty years ago came together for five nights in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica to celebrate their fiftieth birthdays together. The secluded, beautifully landscaped Tulemar contains a beach on the property, accessed by a steep hike which takes about ten minutes to walk on a paved... more

Overall, we were very happy with our stay at the Buena Vista Villas. We stayed in the deluxe room. Pros: - The beach was really great. There were plenty of chairs and towels were available. It was great that there was no charge for things like kayaks. We had a great time kayaking over to the snorkel spot, jumping into... more

Great views. Very roomy unit. There was only one restaurant and it was not real convenient to get around without a car. There is no lobby with amenities. That being said, we loved the place and the staff that was there was very nice and helpful. We had told them we did not see any monkeys our whole trip there... more

Costa Rica in itself is such a beautiful place, but staying at the Buena Vista Villas made my trip complete. The room are amazing and waking up to the sunrise each morning as I sipped my coffee from the luxurious ocean view porch was a great way to start my day. The private beach is a great way to spend... more

We stayed in a one bedroom villa (upstairs 305) for 4 nights the first week of April. The villa was very comfortable for our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children-10 and 13). The kids would not have stayed in a separate room downstairs and we spent very little time indoors anyway. The bottom line for us in staying here... more

My family of five recently returned from a week long vacation at Casa Gema de Bali, in Buena Vista. We made our reservation directly with the owners through their website after a recommendation from an acquaintance (the owners manage this casa themselves so the rates were lower than the rest of the resort). Our vacation at this casa was perfect;... more

We just spent 7 days at BVV, 04/10/09- 04/17/09. It was our first trip to Costa Rica and wasn't quite sure what to expect- although we read all of the reviews, there was a lot of unknown. After spending the night in San Jose ( not recommended) we rented a Rav4 4x4 (recommended) and drove the 3 hours to Manuel... more

What incredibly unique, beautiful, well done accommodations. Staying at Buena Vista is one of those rare experiences where you feel transported to a different world. The very tastefully furnished and appointed casa we stayed in was awesome, yet not overdone. Luxurious in a very comfortable live-able kind of way. Not ostentascious at all in fact, these facilities were designed to... more

We've just returned from our amazing 6 day stay in C Rica, 5 of which were at BVV. We've been to pretty resorts before - Ocean Reef in Key Largo and Xpu-Ha in Maya Riviera being our 2 favorites - but this one was different enough from the rest to top our list. We have 2 teen boys and have... more

Our group of 8 booked casa 404 Buena Vista. We got a good price: ($800.00 per night split 8 ways). The casa was beautiful, clean, and well equipped. The hot water was very spotty, so showers were somewhat cold. Most amenities worked, such as the hot tub, the TVs. The beds were amazing. In room safes kept our passports and... more
