We booked rather last minute, so took the ratings of TripAdvisor on hotels in Manuel Antonio and booked Gaia. Got a discount and complimentary 20 minute massage for both of us -- the therapist Vanessa was excellent, however, we were supposed to have a couples treatment but one therapist was sick so we had to go individually. Vanessa provided an... More

EXQUISITE!! We celebrated our 20th anniversary at the GAIA. From the moment we arrived we were treated as honored guests. The owners and the staff work together like family to create an enviroment of friendliness, hospitality and luxury. The restaurant (La Luna) is a gastronomical delight, with eye dazzeling views and an aura of relaxation. We want to thank the... More

I chose Gaia because of the 5 star reviews. I was not disappointed, It was better than described! Careful attention to every detail led to a dream vacation. Personal service was at its best. Room service was superb. I had reserved a deluxe suite which had a panoramic view of the rainforest and ocean beyond. Every sunset was postcard perfect.... More

Gaia is starkly modern in design, consisting of white, cube-shaped units set atop a green hillside about two miles from Manual Antonio National Park. It is expensive, and lavishly staffed. Our accommodations--bedroom, sitting room, two balconies--could only be described as opulent. The staff was ubiquitous and eager to please. For all that, there were minor flaws--intermittent wi-fi slowness, weird light... More

Thanking our recent guests from Washington D.C. for taking their time to write a review on this Tripadvisor forum. Indeed, we are not the norm here in Manuel Antonio nor in Costa Rica for that matter. We are clean, crisp and have raised the level of hospitality here by providing our guests a level of service now coveted by other... More

My husband and I consider ourselves seasoned travelers. Gaia is an exceptional hotel for many reasons. This hotel is more like a romantic enclave that captures the luxury of a full-service resort, while delivering intimacy and comfort of a private home. We stayed in the large, well appointed 2 bedroom villa with a rooftop terrace. The sunsets from the rooftop were... More

Well, your words are exceptional! We feel we raised the bar here in Manuel Antonio on our level of service coupled with our unique architectural design and various factors that spoil our guests. All this is complemented by the type of guests that are attracted to Gaia and the reason we have repeat guests year after year. Thank you for... More

We spent 6 wonderful nights at Gaia for Christmas 2011 with our family. I have discovered Gaia outside of Tripadvisor and booked the holiday in the hotel's exclusive multi-bedroom villa. I did some extensive reading and due diligence on the property and also read all the raving reviews on Tripadvisor after booking. We have traveled the world and stayed at... More

I have never written a review on a hotel before, but my wife and I recently stayed at the Gaia Hotel & Reserve on our honeymoon and had the experience of a lifetime. If I could give this place a rating higher than “Excellent” I would. At the time I booked the reservations I received first class assistance from Fabio... More

My wife and I have nothing but great things to say about the Gaia!! The owners and staff stopped at nothing to ensure all of our needs were met. we are so grateful for everything they did for us. I traveled from Afghanistan to spend a relaxing 2 weeks with my wife in Costa Rica, we decided to stay in... More

This hotel is a very modern oasis on the top of this hillside with incredible views of the ocean. The restaurant on the top floor is a must. We sat watching the sunset every night we were there... And yes, even our most economical rooms are spacious and all have the same beds, linens, services and amenities. We skimp on nothing here at Gaia. We are very pleased we were able to spoil you on your recent visit to Gaia Hotel & Reserve. Although our nature reserve is only on 13 acres, we do feel that the amount of wild life including birds and monkeys and the massive variety of plants and trees does in fact rival the local National Park.
