Rooms are beautiful with 20ft panoramic views of the ocean and forest. Wait staff was outstanding and catered to every request. Highly recommend staying here, particularly for couples. Jacuzzi was great as well.

this is not a 4 star hotel because there is needed updates as others have said. we spent the $$ for the penthouse which is large and very quirky. jacuzzi old and unattractive, but since it was my 70th birthday who cares? lovely view, but linens, pillow on bed etc old. no body lotion with shampoo and soap. the staff... I stayed 5 nights with my boyfriend there and it was perfect. The staff is really friendly and helpful, room was clean. We were both surprise how empty the restaurant was at night since it was the best food we had in Manuel Antonio.

OK so I have mixed feelings about this hotel. There are pluses and minuses i guess, depends on what's important to you when you travel. My biggest issue with the hotel was that it was outdated in the room/bathroom and there was a..uh... layer?? on everything. It just wasn't up to the cleanliness that I expect when paying that amount... More

What really stood out to me during my stay at Issimo were the outstanding views and the brilliant service. We stayed in the penthouse suite and had an amazing view of the beach and the jungle from our hotel room with a balcony which monkeys would climb on in the morning. The views were breathtaking. We were also a 15... More

Having read many reviews prior to booking this hotel, I was surprised by my experience. I am still rating it as "average" because there is nothing majorly wrong with the hotel other than the price being more than it's worth but it's definitely nowhere near 5 bubbles. On the positive side, the view from the restaurant deck (and partially from... More

I booked this property through a travel agency for a honeymoon trip for my daughter and her new husband. A week before the trip, it became apparent that the weather in Costa Rica was going to be terrible--not good at all for a honeymoon. So I attempted to cancel the reservation, or at least to get a partial refund. The... More

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and I cannot figure out why it has so many positive ratings. It is in need of some repair to be worth what we payed for it. Several tiles in the room were cracked. There were ants all over the jacuzzi tub and robes they provided so we chose not to use... More

Momo is the best way to describe it. We saw it on kayak for $250 a night when it should really be about$80-$100. Nowhere near the caliber of arenes del mar and the parador. It is a motel with a gorgeous view.

We spent four nights here the first week of December. We chose it based on the views and the fact that it sounded nicer than the places closer to the national park. This turned out to be a fantastic choice. Manuel Antonio is the area between Quepos, the closest real town, and the national park, which is the main draw.... More
