The beach was crowded, but safe and clean. If you are short of time and want a zoo like certainty of seeing the animals, don't miss Manuel Antonio NP. Convenient location, good staff. Reasonable priced and variety of foods, even for us vegetarians in all of Costa Rica. Friendly welcoming place

Clean, friendly and cannot beat the location, just 2 steps away from the beach, bordering the Park (we saw white-faced monkeys right there), and walking distance to the Park entrance. Pick a room on the top floor and facing the sea.

I think this is a nice family owned hotel. Very convenient since is in front of the beach (best location in the zone Had to walk for five minute to arive manuel antonio national park entrance. Last hotel in the road, right next to the park. The hotel is very nice, rooms are big and clean. I rent some tours... More

We went to Manuel Antonio for honey moon . It is an experience of a life time because the hotel is located in the rainforest and the beach so if you love nature you are in the right place. The rooms are beautiful decorated and very clean .The service is very friendly and helpful . We weren't happy with the... More

I was very disappointed....The room was fair, the air conditioner was either very cold or only blowing slightly. There was no in between. THe location was the second floor towards the back. Although the hotel was very empty we were not provided a better room or one that faced the water. The sheets were worn and stained. I also had... More

It's a simple hotel, a bit old but it has an excellent location for visiting the Manuel Antonio National Park. The price in July 2014 is $79 per room with two queen beds, bathroom, cable TV, A/C and free wi-fi. Clean enough and just in front of the Manuel Antonio beach

For the price ($80/night) you can't beat it, but it's not a luxury hotel. They provide towels and soap in the bathrooms, but no shampoo or hair dryer. The rooms are clean with comfortable beds and good air conditioning. The staff is friendly, speak English, and can line you up with a tour guide for the park. The ocean view... More

we planned on staying in the hotel for 2 nights and extended our stay to 5 nights. the hotel consists of the relatively more expensive rooms and the cheaper ones (above the restaurant). we stayed in the cheaper rooms. the room was very clean - the cleaning woman was extra nice and came every day to clean the room, change... Stayed here two nights after escaping a hotel with cockroaches. Was not so happy with the reviews here, but had little option... And SURPRISE! Hotel located across street from the beach, ocean view rooms, inexpensive, clean - WHAT MORE CAN YOU WANT?? Really, comparing some of the other places in the area, I am surprised that people are so picky.... More

I agree with other reviewers, the Manuel Antonio Hotel has wonderful location right across the street from the ocean. Step out and enjoy the incredible sunsets. The owners plan to make improvements to the place including new bedding (desperately needed) and a pool. Just watch, when those improvements are made, you won't be able to get a double room for...
