My wife, daughter and I arrived, checked in and went for dinner, when we came back our laptop was gone. We did not get another room, we had to wait outside because for the police and csi kind of guys. My daughter, of 1 year old was tired, my wife was tired...I asked for another room, and they wanted to... More

We had a great room with full kitchen facilities but our balcony overlooked a road which suffered from much noise during the day. A plunge pool to cool off in but otherwise no hotel grounds. This would be a good base to sleep if you were toting by car.

This hotel is on a busy road, and unlike some other similar budget hotels I stayed in during the trip, it feels like it. It's noisy and cramped feeling. The room was clean, there was an attempt to have some decor to the room, there was clean wire shelving for your stuff. The mattress and bedding were decent. The shower... More

As a manager of a hotel property in Florida, this place absolutely offened my sense of the industry and how guests should be treated. Upon arriving at the hotel, I greeted by the only attendant at the front desk "Berber" and the housekeeper. They were friendly, I have to admit. But that is where the good part of this property... This hotel is what I expected to get for paying so little. It is small and clean. However the sheets and towels are stained and ripped. our bed was broken. A horrible paint job has left dried paint spills all over the furniture, floors, doors. The furniture and decor needs a major updating. The owners are very unfriendly. They just... More

Babaloo is a great place to stay if you're looking for somewhere that isn't expensive. We got the king suite and it was very large, had a kitchen and a decent sized bathroom. My friends and I comfortably fit 3 of us in the king bed and got two twin beds put in the room so we fit 5 of... More

We came to Babaloo for the breakfast. The ambiance was very nice. But the breakfast was very small and kind of dry. The wait staff was awesome though and made up for it. If you want a good breakfast I would suggest going somewhere else.

I originally was at the hostel across the street but moved to Hotel Babaloo after discovering our hostel was infested with cockroaches the size of my hand! My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay. Our room was spotless, and I enjoyed spending the mornings on the balcony watching the monkeys climb through the jungle. Also, Babaloo's staff was very... More

We had a terrific stay at the Babaloo Inn! Our room was on the second floor overlooking the jungle, which gave us a terrific "canopy" vantage point. While sitting on our balcony, we saw iguanas, squirrel and howler monkeys, geckos, toucans, and other tropical birds. The room and bathroom were clean, fairly large (by Costa Rican standards) and included free... More

I will say that the customer service was absolutely excellent. The staff was VERY friendly, helpful and flexible. They even showed concern for safety (i.e. don't let non-guests go to your door, they must come get you themselves), hence two stars. However, if I could do it all over again, I'd save more and book with La Mansion or Sí... More
