I stayed for two nights at Hotel Mango Moon near Manuel Antonio National Park. The first thing you see is a breathtaking view of the ocean from the terrace. As you settle in, you'll find there's a path down to a secluded beach. But the clincher for me was seeing wild white faced capuchin monkeys swinging through the trees on... More

My husband and I had a short one night stop over in Manuel Antonio National Park just outside of Quepos, Costa Rica. The Mango Moon Hotel was an excellent surprise! The views are breathtaking and indescribable. The owner, Donna, could not have been nicer or more accommodating. The rooms were extremely clean and the beds were comfortable. We had an... More

We walked in expecting a hotel. There was the checkin counter, a bar, a breakfast area overlooking the pool and the ocean, just a few rooms. We found it was much more that that. As we stayed there we found it to be a home away from home. Early morning we got coffee from the dining area and sat by... More

My boyfriend and I spent a week at mango moon & our experience could not have been better! We spent 8 days in the toucan terrace room at the hotel and I believe if we stayed somewhere else in Manuel Antonio our trip wouldn't have been as perfect as it was at mango moon. First, Donna, the owner, treats you... More

We stopped in for drinks here after a cab ride back from Biseanz Beach. We had run into the owner, Donna, a few nights earlier and wanted to check out her boutique Hotel. The lobby/bar area is very cute and she has a great view of the ocean, and apparently a private beach for her hotel guests! The drinks we... More

The owner, Donna, took time to talk to me about excursions when mine fell through for various reasons. The staff helped get the excursions booked and coordinated. The food was amazing. The view of the ocean is marvelous. The monkeys on the property add to the experience.

My friends stayed here recently but we came to the bar to hear mutual friends play their bluegrass music while in town for my son's wedding week. They said it was good, kind of quirky which they liked and the owner and staff were so helpful and fantastic. The drinks at the bar were some of the best I have... More

Couldn't have been happier. Beautiful property, extremely helpful staff, tranquil setting and overall solitude. They have one of if not the best views of any property in the area and walking distance to most options in M.A. area. The monkeys up in the trees around the property and the secluded beach were an added bonus as was the toucan we... More

Great place. When you first walk in its like visiting a friend. All the staff is welcoming and committed to making your stay the best. Donna the owner sat down with us our first morning to share coffee. We had happy hour drinks on our private deck and watched the monkeys pass by. Then dinner in the open dinning room... More

Unfortunately, the reviews and high-star rating on this site do not reflect what we experienced during our stay. We had hoped to experience an "intimate" boutique hotel as advertised. Positives: -The view and the grounds are beautiful. -Monkeys are right outside the balcony every day, putting on a show for the guests. -The owner is friendly and offers useful tips... More
