Several-time Visitor........Have always stayed in #1. Great View from balcony to the Pacific thru threes often full of colorful birds and monkeys. Love listening to the Howler monkeys at night. Excellent amenities in unit as well as the grounds. Lovely pool, and when I was there a light and delicious breakfast with several choices was available in the bar area.... more

Stayed here for 4 nights in August 2009, in the type 2 style villa. Conveniently located – a number of nice restaurants within walking distance and 5 minutes drive from the beach. Villas Nicolas consists of beautiful "condos" is a great location close to Parque Manuel Antonio and many restaurants. It's a nice place to stay for any period of time, but due to the lack of amenities it's better for a longer stay. Fabulous room, views, staff, pool. Very conveniently located near beach, reaturants and bus- even direct bus to and from the airport and San Jose is a few steps from the door. Like the other reviewers stated, the terrace makes this hotel worth staying in, it was almost the size of our room with a table, couch, ceiling fan, and our coveted hammock with an ocean view. We had reserved a room a Mimos Hotel, but cancelled it immediately after seeing the reception! best 70$ we ever lost. We drove down the road hopping all hotels would not be like Mimos.
