If you're looking to relax, unwind and lose yourself in the ultimate destination of Costa Rica, this is the best place to be. We couldn't have chosen a better location to stay for our first time in CR! Nearly every guest was a return visit and we can see why. We're already planning another trip and there's not another place... More

A welcome respite in the world of busy. The dated villas bring you back to a time when things WERE slower. It's a small, comfortable hotel with great ambiance, fabulous pool area, breakfast was included, and it's close to the beach, beach shopping, and Manuel Antonio. Would stay here again and again. Just can't beat waking up to the sound... More

This hotel far exceeded our expectations. A gorgeous room with a balcony from which we saw lots of monkeys (regularly and up close!) toucans, blue morph butterflies, hummingbirds etc. Hot breakfast included (which we had not known). Lovely restaurant for dinners on site. Very helpful staff. Gorgeous swimming pool with small waterfall. Couldn't have been better! Many wonderful restaurants within... More

I've stayed here off and on for years and it is still lovely. The villas are a little dated but the ambiance and quiet beauty still there. If you want a place to relax, enjoy a good meal, swim in the blue pool, and sit on the deck and enjoy the sunrise and sunset, then this place is for you.... More

Villas Nicolas is a lovely place to stay in Manuel Antonio! The colorful welcoming sign at the entrance, lush landscaping with bright, beautiful flowers and gorgeous gate at check in, gave us a wonderful welcome feeling. Julio was kind and very hospitable upon check in and every time we needed information. Alexandra was excellent also. They both speak English very... More

Villas Nicolas has only 12 rooms, but it has the most wonderful location, with superb views across woodland to the Pacific and huge rooms with a bedroom, living room / fully fitted kitchen and huge terrace. The rooms are comfortable and decorated with lots of original paintings and local carvings. On the terrace there are leather-seated rockers – a really... More

This was a true villa with a bedroom, bathroom, sitting room/kitchen, and very large porch overlooking the Pacific Ocean. There was a great pool with wonderful landscaping for cooling off in the afternoon. Breakfast was in the bar by the pool and served at your table or at the bar. One afternoon a troop of a couple of dozen white-faced... More

We loved Villas Nicolas! It was amazing to have a full apartment where we could cook and truly feel at home. We didn't eat the breakfast provided by the hotel, but it looked pretty standard to us (eggs, beans, rice). The staff at the hotel were friendly and helped us in calling one of our tours when they didn't show... More

This is our 4th trip to Manuel Antonio, in our humble opinion, the most beautiful place on earth. We have stayed at two other hotels in the past years, including a very high end hotel last year - meh. Our friends stayed at Villas Nicolas last year and we loved their room, so we decided to give it a try... More

Perfectly located in central Manuel Antonio and walking distance to many restaurants (although is not that safe to walk on the street with no sidewalk and winding road). The scenery is very nice with nice vegetation all around and a nice pool. The staff is kind and the breakfast is good. You can also have dinner at the hotel and... More
