This was a very simple and clean small hotel in a park like setting. Breakfast was okay, nothing special we did not see anyone eat in the restaurant any other time during the day. I stayed at Vela Bar for two nights in January 2009. I found it to be clean and found the staff to be very helpful. For $50, you can't get a nicer room this close to the beach (about a block away). Other hotels in this area are much more expensive and the fancy resorts are up on a hill... more
