You would never expect to find delicious, home-made Polish food in Costa Rica, but the restaurant at this hotel offers some of the best I've ever had! Highly recommended!! Be sure to try the home-made stuffed cabbage and pierogi! The hotel is also very nice and situated in a good location off the main road to Manuel Antonio National Park. more

A kind of motel style place. Its almost right in the middle from Quepos and Manuel Antonio. It takes about 6 -8$ for a taxi to the beach. The rooms were clean, except for the shower which looked old and moldy near the ceiling. The linens could have been better. There is a nice pool but we never used it.... more

I usually don't go back and write reviews, but this place was pretty good. It was super-clean, convenient, and budget friendly. Overall the hotel is very pretty architecturally speaking (think mediterranean/european) and the rooms are spacious, and include a back patio. The only issue I have is with the mattresses and linens... they are not up to US standards in... more

Small hotel with good prices and is excellent if you want to get close to nature. Clean rooms, great restaurant, and the view from the balconies is amazing as is the walk around the property. Unfortunately for us light sleepers, the forest was LOUD at night and the howling monkeys at 3:30 am didn't help. So if you love nature,... more

We stayed here with friends who were previous guests and we were very pleased with the experience. One must remember that even though Manuel Antonio is growing into a pricey little resort, Costa Rica is still a third world country. Tres Banderas is a little gem that offers much for the price (perhaps the lowest in the area). My husband... more

Hotel Las Tres Banderas is an attractive small hotel built on a hillside, and is constructed from high-quality woodwork and tiles. The entrance driveway is very steep which makes entering and exiting a challenging experience. Our room was large enough but was strangely laid out, with a clothes rod over the side of the bed and very limited amount of... more

Just fyi - if you are planning on staying at the hotel tres banderas (as we did, (it was high season and many other things we're booked up) The manager of the hotel is all about getting as much money from you as possible. He wouldn't give us any ice unless we ate at his restaurant (an amenity available at... more

After travelling around Costa Rica on the public transit system (which tends to leave most destinations at 5 or 6 a.m.), and being used to waiting until we could check into most hotels and hostels, what a nice change to phone ahead and hear 'absolutely! come on by!'. The owner, Andy, is quite the host and all our plans of... more

I've stayed at the Hotel Las Tres Banderas every year for the last eight years. The hotel is clean, the staff friendly and the value outstanding. Andy is an outstanding host and since I outfit a group and rent the entire hotel every year, I am sure I would have heard complaints from my guests about any "smells" "sagging mattresses"... more
