At $100 a night, I felt it was really overpriced, 1 person, basic room, no view, $3.00 a day to rent a key for the safe. The pool closes at 6pm. No TV. Many better hotels and bargains close to town. with pools , tv,s safes , for about half the price. I checked out 3 others that I liked... more

The hotel room has basic cozy rooms, but it was very clean. Staff was very nice. The national park is located a bit far, but if you dont mind a nice walk it is ok. more

Well this place was lovely. Just far enough out of Manuel Antonio that you were away from the noise but could walk in for a meal in 10 mins. It had a rear gate that opened up onto the beach which had over hanging palm trees and a surf beach. There was a small pool but with the beach less... more

Absolutely loved the Exotic-Ness of this hotel. We saw Monkeys, Iguanas, All different kinds of crabs, birds and flowers right in front of our hotel room. I can say we even saw more tropical "wildlife" here than inside the park. We payed the extra to stay in the beachfront rooms (bottom level) and that's the route we'd take again. The... more

stayed here for 5 days and absolutely loved it. would definitely recommend a beachfront room, and probably would only stay in that in the future. these rooms all have a little deck and hammock and overlook the beautiful grounds of the hotel leading right up to the beach. if you want to stay right on the beach, this hotel is... more

We liked the staff and location. Although the rooms are not fancy and there are times with no hot water, we would stay there again. The front desk was great to answer any questions we had. Also, it is one of the few hotels located right on the beach. Location is very important, and they definitely have that! We loved... more

The rooms are very basic but clean. No frills. We had two rooms for the five of us and the price was very reasonable. The location is great, only about 10 minutes from Manuel Antonio National Park and the best part is that they have their own beach. It is beautiful. The White Faced Monkeys are all over the place... more

Stayed at this place in Jan 08. We complained about the fact that there was no hot water for showers. The front desk promptly sent a repairman and he checked the hot water and agreed there was no hot water, explaining that they used a solar heating system and making some excuses for the total lack of hot water. The... more

The two good things about the hotel are that it's directly on the beach, and our room was kept pretty clean. Aside from that, the rooms are dated to say the least. Uncomfortable beds, old bathrooms with zero hot water. For the price, this hotel needs some serious updating. It was convenient to be right on the beach and close... more
