We only got to spend one night at this wonderful place in cabin 5 at the very top of the hill. It was quite the hike, but worth every step. You are high enough above the tree line to see the ocean. We were woken by Howler monkeys in the morning and could hear them throughout the day. We even... More

Karahe hotel was a fantastic place to stay. My family stayed for 2 nights and the staff was very helpful with everything. They helped book tours, call taxis. It is also in a great location and very close to the beach! Also close to some wildlife such as crabs and iguanas.

The location is unbeatable, right on the beach. Beautiful property with lots of plants, trees and wild life, including monkeys that play on the rooftops. The price is excellent for such beautiful location. We stayed in the new rooms on the third floor and they are very well appointed and have a great balcony. Those are the most expensive rooms,... The front desk staff is SO nice. We loved the iguanas and monkeys which were occasionally (monkeys) and always (iguanas) at the hotel. One of the few hotels here with direct beach access AND we could walk directly to Manuel Antonio reserve park without paying a cab! Side note: falafel cafe and the tapas place across the street are a... More

Karahe Hotel is the only direct beach front in Manuel San Antonio and you can easily access the park by walking over via the beach. My favorite thing was how wonderfully accomadating the staff was. When I first checked in, I was assigned to a villa, which I had trouble accessing. They changed my room to the beach side hotel,... More

The staff is super friendly and attentive. We arrived during a storm w/ brief power outage but it didn't matter and had a wonderful surprise of being booked a beachfront room as a complimentary upgrade for our 10 yr. anniversary. The room was very nice and offered a great garden view with Adirondack chairs on the private porch. We put... More

The hotel is perhaps the only actually on the beach. They get extra points for this and the pretty grounds loaded with life. There are too many Iguana to count, land crabs, monkeys that pop in occasionally for breakfast, and a sloth who pokes his head into the protective cover of the restaurant when it rains. The rooms on the... More

I'm going to try and be fair here. I think if you book one of their beachside rooms, you'll have no complaints here. However, it's like it's two different places, literally divided by a main road. Everything off the beach side (which is the same side the reception is on) is old and run down. The bungalows, which other reviews... More

Dear guest, Thank you very much for sharing your experience about your stay. We are located very closed to the national park and we have raised our hotel playing with the geography of the area. Stayed in cabin up on hill...would not recommend hillside cabins for anyone not ready to climb...no issue if you stay in lower part. Hotel has good location for beach and is reasonable value for money. My only complaint is they did not initially have our booking from expedia....which was unnerving ... not sure their fault or expedia. Luckily they were... More

My family reserved a bungalow. My wife, baby of 21 months and myself. They neglected to mention that you had to climb 80 steps to get to the room. It was gruesome to go up and down all the time especially carrying suit cases and a play pen. I had reserved a playpen/ crib for the baby and they did... More
