I stayed at Byblos on August 2014. When I first arrived, I was in a bad mood from driving and I wasn't sure what to expect at the reception. As I walked into the hotel, my mood started to change. There is a jungle in the hotel with monkeys and ant eaters, etc. The staff was super friendly especially in... More

I stayed there as part of an organized tour and overall enjoyed my stay. The staff was extremely nice and could recommend and arrange activities. Also, my last day just before leaving I went parasailing. When I got back, I wanted to take a quick shower and even though I already checked out, they opened a room for me and... More

We just got back from Costa Rica and had a fab time! We stayed at 2 resorts and had a chance to compare. This was our second one, after coming from Arenal Paraiso, so we were pleasantly surprised with this one. The entrance is nothing much to look at, so don't be alarmed, but the room was excellent! We stayed... More

What a lovely place, the staff were so welcoming and extremely friendly and the pool was glorious. We had a lovely room with a WONDERFUL shower and the view from our balcony was spectacular. As an added bonus their food was yummy!

The staff are so helpful and welcoming it was impossible not to relax. Very close to manuel Antonio national park and lots of restaurants. Although there is no need to leave the resort as the food is fantastic. Such great value for money. Great facilities in the room and views of the ocean. You almost feel like part of the... More

Staff was great, friendly people. The location was nice near many places in Manuel Antonio. We stayed in a bungalow which was very roomy and sort of private. There were stairs everywhere, stairs that would go down and then back up for no apparent reason sometimes. Many of the lights were missing bulbs or not functioning so the stairs behind... More

Pictures on web site are nice, but the real thing definitively needs a face lift! Rooms are big and comfortable, but look really old. The TV is like the one my grandma had in her kitchen years ago... And do not dare to ask for wi fi, cause even when the site says you will have it, the front desk... More

Pros: Eugene at the pool bar whips up some excellent mojito's and creamy colada's, good food at the pool bar (get the parfait at breakfast), helpful friendly service, bungalows are in the middle of the rainforest with amazing wildlife right outside your door, location is great for walking to all sorts of dinners or Manuel Antonio's. Cons: Casino was closed... More

We originally booked an 'ocean view' room. We walked into the room and yes it's technically an ocean view. Pull out Magellans spyglass and you'll be able to really see the ocean. The room looked like a 1980's refurbished motel, with pink drapes, old appliances, and beds. I wouldn't recommend the main hotel. We immediately requested a Bungalow. If you... More

For the most part we enjoyed our stay at Byblos. The resort setting is quite nice. We had a warm and friendly check-in. Property is well maintained and is clean. We ate at both the sports bar and the restaurant and food was quite tasty. We had numerous monkey sightings and got glimpses of other animals as well. Sports bar... More
