We enjoyed our stay at Byblos. The restaurant was great-friendly staff and good food. It was located next to the pool. The pizza was fantastic! There was also a sports bar which was standard bar food. The bathrooms are a bit outdated-maroon sink and toilet, but functional. The bed was comfortable. I would stay here again.

We stayed for one week in Costa Rica in March 2015, and traveled to a few places. We stayed one night at Byblos. We stayed in 4 hotels total and this was without a doubt the worst place that we stayed. The hotel staff was adequate, the rooms were very tired and dated. I was glad we were only staying... More

My stay at hotel byblos was amazing. The food at their pool side resturaunt is impeccable. the breakfast/lunch waiter Eugene was very helpful with meal suggestions and my coffee cup never went empty. The breakfast was reasonably priced and more than filling. The pizzas are definatly big enough to share. While waiting for poolside lunch I noticed alot of small... More

Booked into this hotel with Gate 1 Travel. It is a challenge to get to the rooms, but I don't think any different than most other hotels in Manuel Antonio. Stairs everywhere. Room was clean and faced the Pacific. Breakfast was good. Best part was the wildlife. Squirrel and capuchin monkeys visited for breakfast and dinner all 3 days we... More

We really did love our food here. However, we chose the wrong table by the pool. We came after dark for a nice quiet dinner but a family swimming in the adjacent pool had other ideas for us. We had to move to a large table in the center of the restaurant to avoid being continually splashed. Not the restaurant's... More

We had booked a small garden chalet many months back however, suddenly, it was overbooked in November. This put us in a pickle so I went on line and looked for someplace that had bungalows. We stumbled upon Byblos and we are pleased that we did. The bungalow was lovely, The bed was huge. This place is in a good... More

The rooms were quite nice and the setting was enchanting. Many rooms were like being in a treehouse. However there is absolutely nowhere you can go on this property that doesn't involve stone stairs and lots of them--and this includes the sole restaurant. Stairs are steep, with no railings, and very slippery when wet. Lovely place but beware, if you... More

My first trip to Quepos Costa Rica was such a fun-living positive experience. Mostly, because I loved the relaxed attitude at The Byblos Hotel. I stayed in what I called a tree house because I was surrounded by nature. The room was huge and the king size bed very comfortable, and it had A great covered verandah. The monkeys visited... More

The room air conditioning smelled mouldy and the tiles in the bath need to have the grout cleaned. There was never enough towels and never face cloths even after the room was made up. After spending 2 sleepless nights on the hard mattress I used all the room pillows to provide a more comfortable surface to sleep on.

Nice location, grocery across the street, few minutes walk to the bus station, and plenty of restaurants around. The room we were at is a standard size with lots of amenities like mini fridge, microwave, safe (free), and a small sofa and table on the other side. Bathroom is outdated but still functioning well but need renovation soon. Free Wi-Fi... More
