A very comfortable motel-style hotel with clean, roomy accommodation and a pleasant dining area. The open air pool was very welcome after a hot day's travelling and the hotel was handily placed for guided tours in the fascinating Manuel Antonio National Park. Recommended if visiting the park and you also want to be close to the coast.

I read reviews of the hotel prior to our stay there and I got the impression that the hotel is not good. The truth is there’s still a sign For sell outside but by the attitude of staff one can not say that they neglect the guests. The personnel is “weak” in English, only the receptionist speaks English. We spent... More

I stayed here for two nights on a tour of Costa Rica in January 2014. Initial impressions were good - the grounds and swimming are pretty. However...we had lunch in the bar while waiting for our rooms. It was terrible. All the food was overcooked. My chicken was like a piece of rubber. My room mate had chilli beef nachos... More

The room was clean and located a mere 5 minute walk from the busiest beach and restaurants. The grounds, restaurant and pool were well-kept. Mattresses were hard. The only real issue we had with the hotel is that we had no hot water for 2.5 days there. Made for a chilly rinse off after the beach. It was a quiet... More

A group of 9 friends and I stayed in some rooms here and LOVED it! The staff was so friendly, especially Jorge, the pool was amazing. The rooms were neat, comfy, and very nice. The 5 minute walk to the beach, National Park, restaurants and many shops & stores was such a nice surprise. I I would absolutely love to... More

A very nice, clean and comfortable hotel. Located just outside the Nat. Park and 5 min walk from the beach with all the restaurants and shops. Also very close to Costa Linda Hostel where they serve fantastic, cheap and tasty food and coctails. Worth visiting! The hotel itself also has a restaurant with tasty food and lovely staff + swimming... More

We have stayed here several times with groups and friends. The hotel is very clean and beautiful. Great place to visit by the pool. The restaurant was very good and reasonably priced food. It is near the park and a short walk to the beach. I forgot my Palm in a drawer in the room and didn't realize it until... More

Nice rooms and pool set about 300m from the beach up the hill and right next to the entrance to Manuel Antonio National Park. Hear calls of Howler monkeys and see the squirrel monkeys on your doorstep. Be warned though Manuel Antonio pretty much shuts down at night with most people staying in Quepos. Couple of bars/restaurants in town do... More

Manuel Antonio is a great place to visit the beach. It's beautiful and small. Almendros hotel is well-located. It is close to both the beach and the park entrance, without being too close to anything. It is quiet, with good rooms that have AC and hot water. It is not luxerious, but is definitely sufficient.

Quite fair price for a well located hotel (300 meters away from the beach) It has breakfast, hot water, swimming pool, spacious rooms and A/C (a must have in Costa Rica). No TV. The quality of the rooms are a liitle bit below middle class We paid USD 80 for a double room (it had 2 queen beds, so maybe... More
