...but I would spend another $5 per night and go 100 meters up the road to the National Park Backpackers Manuel Antonio. The rooms are very very basic, there is a nice social side to it here, there is a bar, reasonable prices, and the food is pretty good. There was a bad smell of rotten eggs outside the room... More

Great food and service. Food is cheap, rooms are cheap, and it provides a great atmosphere to hang out in at night or in the afternoon to just relax and have a drink.

We did not stay at this hotel. However, when you find a gem like this amidst all the touristy crap in M.A it is important to pass it along. We found this place on our walk to the National Park. Tucked off the little road, the sign '$2 Rum/coke" drew us in. We drank until it was time for lunch.... More

This place has a fantastic location, halfway between the entrance to the park, and the free public beach/main st of Manuel Antonio. The atmosphere is nice, with various travelers lounging in the restaurant, where there's always free tea and coffee, or in the computer room. The rooms themselves are a bit lacking. Very basic, with a not entirely comfortable bed,... More

This was one of the most disgusting hostel's I have ever seen. We weren't expecting much to begin with, seeing as though it was only $10 a night, but when we arrived we knew we had to find another place to stay asap. Sheets were extremely dirty with rips, the rooms had a stench that I can't forget, and there... More

We really enjoyed our stay at Costa Linda... during low season, private rooms were 10$ a night (3rd night free!). Great time at night now that the bar is open to everyone... and the food at the restaurant is delicious!!! The only down part I would say is that there is no kitchen for the guests... so if you are... More

My boyfriend and I were backpacking Costa Rica during Christmas - a very busy time of year - so we made reservations at all the places we wanted to stay WEEKS in advance. When we arrived at Costa Linda Packpackers, we went to check in at the desk. I had e-mailed for reservation for 3 nights and they had confirmed.... More

This place is great! Amazing atmosphere, laid back and cool. Flat rate of $10 per person, rooms with 1-4 beds. Bathrooms are shared but very very clean. Rooms are very clean, with only the basics, bed, table and fan, that's it, if your looking for more this is not the place for you. Great place to meet other travelers and... More
