This hotel had an excellent location. Within walking distance to the beach and the National Park. Not a lot of amenities at the hotel. I was a little disappointed with the cleanliness. The floor was so dirty I had to wear my shoes and there was a sign that said if you want new towels to put them on the... More

We spent two nights in Jungle Beach Hotel July 2014 and were very pleased with the decent sized room (great for our 2y old kid). Nice helpful staff. Breakfast was simple but good, fresh fruit, juice, coffee, toast and peanut butter/jam, much better than the so-called "continental breakfast" in any standard American chain hotels. At breakfast, we were joined by... More

I enjoyed my 4 night stay here. Loved my large room and private balcony. Handy to everything. Low key style and helpful staff. The only drawbacks were that there are quite a few stairs and the room safe did not work. Best to get the bus back from the beach if returning to the hotel after dark as road poorly... More

We loved our stay here, in room 10. Very clean, spacious, and the best shower - hot as well!. It was cool in the mornings, and in the afternoons we could sit outside on the balcony, in the shade. Air con and fan, although we didn't need either at night. Fridge and tv too. Breakfast is simple and OK. We... More

I travelled here with my boyfriend in mid-June. Our stay here was exactly what we were looking for! The beds were comfortable, and having a kitchenette in the room was very convenient! The staff was always welcoming and always willing to help. The only thing missing is a pool, however you are just a few steps away from the beach.... More

We had a car when we stayed there, but we only drove it once in the area: when we didn't want to walk the a restaurant one evening because we thought it might rain. Having said this, we still appreciated the central location of this hotel that was within walking distance to the beaches, restaurants/stores, & the national park entrance.... More

The location and atmosphere were wonderful- we saw monkeys from our balcony (although one pooped by our door and it wasn't cleaned up for at least 24 hours) and could easily walk to the public beach as well as the park entrance. The rooms were small but the a/c and beds were nice, and it felt private and secluded. Overall... More

First of all for the money you pay to stay here you can't expect luxury! The room had a nice size, tv and good airco. The bathroom was small but there was warm water and everything was decent. The girl in the office was very friendly! However.... The ventilation thing in the bathroom was disgustingly filthy. I was grossed out.... More

After reading over numerous outstanding reviews and looking at pictures before the trip, we were excited to get to the Jungle Beach Hotel. However, the pictures online, their website and the reviews make the hotel seem a lot nicer than it is, so when we arrived we were let down. There are few amenities at this hotel--no restaurant, no pool,... More

We found that the the amenities here were nice, but the location is key to Manuel Antonio. Easy to walk down to the park or catch the bus towards Quepos. The room had good AC and a fridge. Breakfast was pretty basic, but to be expected. We did have a little trouble with our shower due to them performing maintenance... More
