This is a great hotel. The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. The staff is friendly. Food is good, not great. The two pools are nice, and the towels are readily available. It is right next to the National Park, and you can hear and see the monkeys there. It was fabulous- sitting on the pool on the roof,... More

We stayed two nights at this uniquely designed hotel and found it to be quite interesting. Waking up to Howler Monkeys outside of your room throughout the night was a little different than what we've experienced in the past, but that adds to the character of the hotel. The elevators are extremely slow and the "free" wifi doesn't really work,... More

I can't say enough about this beautiful hotel located in one of Costa Rica's most picturesque locations. What really stands out, however, were the staff, from Guillermo who greeted us when we first drove in (and gave me great advice throughout), to all the reception, restaurant/bar, and tour staff to Daniel, the life saver who fixed my tire as we... We stayed 4 nights here grandparents and a 10 year old child. The room had a great view from window to the jungle and from front porch to the pool area. Room did not have a refrigerator, which was only drawback. On arrival they gave us refreshing fruit drinks as we checked into the hotel. Staff got to know us... More

I was on an organized tour of Costa Rica and we spent two nights at the San Bada. It is the perfect location right next to Manuel Antonio Park. The room was very adequate with a small balcony and a couple of rocking chairs on it. A/C worked good in the room, bathroom had a large shower unit and plenty... More

We were part of the Caravan Tours group that stayed at this hotel for 1 night. San Bada Hotel is very nice. Really liked the outside look of the hotel. To me it has the look of a palace hotel you would find in India. We had a nice large room. The beds were very comfortable. Bathroom nice size with... More

I enjoyed my experience at the Hotel San Bada. I went both with my family and also with my friends from the Univ. The service is what makes this place so excellent. The workers went above and beyond to make sure we had a good stay. It is beautiful and right next to the National Park. You can even buy... More

My capuchin loving girl friend and I staid at this hotel for three nights and we had nothing short of a great time! The hotel staff we very helpful and Emilio was certainly the star of the show. When most of the staff tried getting you to buy a drink when you were out in the heat by the pool... More

Do your homework on this place. Yes it is next to the national park but so are many other hotels. If you decide to go ahead never book on the first floor where we had a room. The room smelled of bug spray and after just a few moment i knew why when i looked down at my feet were... More

Thanking the reviewer of this subjective report. In the hospitality business there are some cases that amaze us, and this is one of them. This reviewer using the fantasy name of KB1718 forgot to mention that at the moment of the check in demanded an upgrade to the 5th floor, as he previously did the “homework” and read in previous... We visited Hotel San Bada for one night as part of a tour with Caravan. This hotel is located within steps to Manuel Antonio Park. As a result of the location you will see and hear a lot birds, monkeys and iguanas. It's a cute, quirky hotel with your basic amenities. The 6th floor has a bar that's perfect for... More
