My wife and I stayed there this past weekend for the final few days of our honeymoon and just can't say enough things about San Bada. We chose this hotel because of it's proximity to the park but we discovered so many more reasons to stay there. The property is beautiful. The rooms were really nicely done, and had great... More

If you would like to have the wildlife come to you I would highly recommend Hotel San Bada. The hotel appears to be a darling of a tour company and had large buses arrive and leave daily. We were never bothered by the buses and found ourselves well cared for by the staff. We had a room on the 5th... More

We stayed here as part of our Caravan tour, which was as wonderful and wildlife-full as we had hoped it would be. This hotel, although very pretty and perfectly located, seemed very hastily constructed - lots of unfinished edged, crooked shelves. The room was was large and everything worked, though. We got the buffet dinner and it was only OK, but... More

We stayed at San bada for 3 days. Positives: right next to Manuel Antonio park, comfortable and clean beds , good air conditioning in rooms, easy access to nice public beach, large warm pool, nice reception and hotel staff, can have partial ocean view, may see wild life/ monkeys from your porch. Negatives: pretty dated rooms including bathrooms, somewhat smaller... More

An excellent spot to see birds and it is next to the park entrance. Roof top was a good vantage point. A short walk to the beach and town but the hotel was quiet. Pool was a little dated with no bar. Take the park walk very early in the morning and return via the beach route. Three species of... More

Starting with the positive. 1. Right next to national park so one can view the monkeys in the evening and early mornings from the balcony. 2. Room was large and air conditioning was very effective. Negatives: 1. Breakfast buffet was bad, flies, dirty chair covers, overwhelmed staff, poorly cooked items. On the path behind the motel staff washing out some... More

We stayed one night with Caravan tours. Yes there is only 1 elevator however they bring your luggage up. The rooms face very green tropical growth. It is very convenient to the National Park, the service people are extremely pleasant, and the food was average. The bugs that are mentioned in other reviews are bit annoying however they are an... The howler monkeys were just a few feet off our balcony. It was very interesting watching them swing through the branches every morning. The only problem was they started their howling at 4:15 am, but it was worth it getting to watch them.

I returned this week from a Caravan Tour which stopped at the San Bada for one night. There is one insufficient small elevator for the entire hotel. The pool area is okay but limited. The dining facility is awful. The food selection is meager and the taste and presentation were lacking. The really big problem had to do with a... More

This restaurant had one of the best tasting buffets on our trip, and we had excellent service from the manager, Maykel Cerdas. He recommended a great bottle of wine, was very pleasant and waited on us. The hotel also had free WiFi, and the staff promptly brought us ice when the ice machine was empty. They also tried to help... More
