Our experience was awkward, though I think they had just reopened. There wasn't food. Our bathroom smelled like sewage. The room was pretty and you can watch the monkeys in the morning. It's awkwardly right on the road and you can't walk anywhere.

Dear Patricia Thank you for taking the time to post a review of your stay at Hotel Plaza Yara. With thousands of reviews on Tripadvisor, Expedia, Booking, Hotels and various other sites we also feel awkward reading and responding to our first two star rating. It is also difficult for us to find a record of your stay with us... More

Best value for a traveler while visiting Quepos. The hotel is clean, well maintained, and the staff is very friendly. Our room was spacious with 2 beds, a large sized bathroom with a shower that easily fits more than one person, a fridge, coffee maker. Our room also provided us with eating utensils (cups, silverware, plates). Our room also had... More

First time in Costa Rica and loved this place! The setting the artwork and the amenities were all there but the best part was our host Javier. His kind attention and genuine hospitality were the best we encountered in our 9 days in CR. All our questions were answered above and beyond including the origin of the art that we... More

Great place to stay! The rooms are HUGE and very clean. Mini refrigerator in the room and a large balcony. A very modern hotel compared to other places we stayed while in Costa Rica. Staff was very helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was great each morning and the hotel is just a short drive to the beach. I would not... More

Our absolute favorite hotel from our Costa Rica trip. The staff here makes you feel like they genuinely want you to enjoy Manuel Antonio. The customer service is consistently excellent and warm. I signed up for trip advisor just so I could write this review.

We stayed at hotel Yara for two nights and it was beautiful charming hotel. When you enter into the lobby you are greeted by Spanish art made by locals. The hotels lobby is actually a art museum of sorts in the lobby area. Our room was nothing short of impressive, large bathroom, large living room as well as a beautiful... More

My wife and I loved this place! Great breakfast, the rooms were amazingly clean with a modern feel. Bathrooms were awesome with great water pressure and mini fridge in room. The staff was incredible, Nelson went above and beyond for us, helping us deal with a rental car issue. He and Johnathan have to be some of the best staff... More

We stayed Friday through Friday and would gladly move in permanently! And what a deal! I've payed more than twice as much a night for a hotel in the States and not gotten nearly as much room and comfort. The main room was huge, clean, modern, comfortable and beautiful! The bathroom was large, clean and well appointed. Our room's "balcony"... More

My wife and I stayed here in late June/early July 2014 for our 1st year anniversary, and we were blown away by this hotel! The rooms are huge, the breakfast is to die for (order the tipica breakfast, it's the best) the location is great, it's very private, there are only 12 rooms so you feel like there is almost... More

Immaculate, large rooms with kitchenette, beautifully decorated. Nestled in forest and still on the main drag with easy access to both Manuel Antonio Park and Quepos. Staff is unbelievable -- really excel at anticipating your needs without being in-your-face. My room overlooked the breakfast area where monkeys came right in and entertained on the first day. Underline: great shower pressure... More
