The hostel is nothing more nor less than what you pay for. We stayed in a private room for 20$ including taxes. There is a bus station right at the entrance and the tariff is 320 colones per person. There are only cold water in the shower but it was warm so no big deal. All in all it is... More

This place did do its job inasmuch as I slept comfortably enough, but not much else: all bar one of the staff were pretty rude (nothing really bad, but I can't remember ever being spoken to in that tone by someone working in hospitality), the "included breakfast" was just bread with marmalade and the swimming pool was disgusting. As has... More

We stayed here for 2 nights and were not impressed. The dorms were very stuffy and the one we stayed in had an additional door way to a separate dorm which was quite annoying at times. Bathroom and showers were well kept. Wifi hardly worked, if ever. The worst part was definitely all the locals coming to play foose ball... More

My girlfriend and I visited Manuel Antonio recently, and I cannot speak better of the park; it is amazing! However, we were to stay two nights in Backpackers but only stayed one, and it was not the most pleasant experience. The rooms and the bathroom was clean, but the location (part of town) is not the most friendly or secure... More

I spent two nights. I can say the service were very kind. The bar opens a little late: 4:00pm. Swimming pool is tiny. Buy you have enough room to spend with your friends hanging out. The hotels counts with sharing rooms, private rooms and private rooms with A/C. The only three bad things about the place is all the bathrooms... More

Quite liked this hostel! Comfortable bunk beds, incredible view of the ocean to enjoy your breakfast on, a bar and pool. And you're really close to either bus stop, heading to the main beach or to Quepos. Kind people and clean spaces. It was a great first hostel experience!

Me and my girlfriend stayed in this hostel during Semana Santa (Easter). Because this is the busiest period of the year we were happy that they had 2 dorm beds left without a reservation. So we said yes to the room without even seeing it: big mistake. We stayed in a 18(!) person dorm. When we arrived in the room... More

Probably similar to most else of what you'll find at this price in Manuel Antonio, so don't expect much luxury. Kinda lacks privacy and its a bit noisy, but the pool is nice and its close to some good places to eat, and a grocery store right across the street - we'd pop over in the morning for fresh fruit.... My experience here was fairly good overall, except that when I was showering the shower head all of a sudden started spewing sparks and flames. Afraid of being electrocuted, I grabbed my towel and jumped out, and someone nearby ran to get an employee. He came and said that that happens frequently and it's normal, and that that was actually... More

Friendly staff, however the rooms were too hot. Nice pool, bathrooms were always wet. Bring a pair of sandals to get into the showers. Label your food, overall was good. But they can improve the facilities. Close to Manuel Antonio National Park entrance and close to the beach too.
