I stayed four nights at this hostel with two of my kids in April. We enjoyed our stay, the staff was friendly and helpful, as were many of the other travelers we met. They are right on the bus route to the public beach as well as Manuel Antonio National Park. They have a small pool down the hill and... More

The hostel private rooms were very clean, minimal bugs, and the AC was very reassuring after a burning day at Manuel Antonio. Bus stop is located right at the entrance of the hostel, one that leads to Quepos, and the other to Manuel Antonio (5-10 mins bus ride for 285 colones). There is a great kitchen area, free breakfast, and... More

As far as hostels go, this was a great place to stay when visiting Manuel Antonio. Since it's in such a developed area, prices tend to be high, but this is a great place to stay on a budget (for backpackers, obviously). Since Manuel Antonio is one of the most common destinations in Costa Rica, I imagine a lot of... More

Great location, across from 2 supermarkets. Free Breakfast but not a very exciting breakfast, just 2 thin pancakes, couple of bites of fruits and coffee but it is FREE. Free clean towel service and they do you laundry for a small charge but worth having clean clothes. I love that the rooms have fans and usually a couple of fans... More

This place is solid. I had my car parked out back and I lost my car key in Manuel Antonio Park, so when I came back and had to break into my own car for the spare key, they were very careful about making sure it in fact with my car. Beyond that, the dorms are clean the pancakes are... More

I traveled with my mom and we stayed in Backpackers Manuel Antonio for one night. We didn't make reservations prior to our arrival. The lady at the reception was very friendly and cheerful. Our room was clean and included a fan and towels. Wifi was available in the public spaces and the pool area is great. The pool itself is... More

I loved my stay at this hostel. The location is SUPER convenient. It is right across the street from the bus stop into Quepos and right next to the bus stop to the beach. There is a grocery store across the street and two restaurants upstairs. I felt really safe in this hostel. The environment was really welcoming and friendly... More

Clean and nice rooms, although the privates are a little overpriced. Big and nice garden with hammocks, great view and a pool, altough we didn't swim there because you are obligated to buy drinks at the pool bar if you want to swim. Location is great, the restaurant next door serves great food and there is a supermarket across the... More

We stayed 4 nights at the hostel in February 2014. Our private room was small and basic, but that was all we needed. The social environment was great and we enjoyed meeting other people. The bus stops right outside the hostel, and we never waited for more than five minutes. The restaurant above the hostel was decent, and we really... More
