Stayed there for the second time and I like it a lot. The only thing I would change is the buffet dinner, I have a 7 year old and there was not much of a choice but hot dogs. Other than that, lots to do- if your going to visit- rent a golf cart and go to Playa Blanca. It... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights at Punta Leona. Our room was clean and comfortably air-conditioned, and we agreed with their decision not to waste their resources on air-conditioning the bathroom. Meals are served buffet style, with plenty of healthy options, as well as a chef station for breakfast and dinner. The various pools offer options for sunbathing, sitting in... More

After years of dreaming, my boyfriend & I finally made our bucket list trip to Costa Rica and picked this resort. As our frist trip to Costa Rica, we thought all inclusive was a good introduction and we were right... we know we will return and Punta Leona was an excellent host. We booked via TripCentral.ca and our package was... More

Accommodations were in clusters named after countries, but separate rooms which made for a quiet night's sleep. They were convenient for dinner but had to take a shuttle for breakfast which was buffet style. One welcome relief was an omelet station in addition to the usual scrambled eggs, rice & beans, and fruits, The dinner restaurant was close by to... More

Stayed with kids and parents in a three bedroom apartment on the resort. The room was basic, but more than adequate for our needs, clean and large enough. AC in the bedrooms only, but that was fine. The resort has a lovely set of pools - the kids preferred the main pool at Playa Manta to the smaller pool at... More

We recently had a room reservation and because of plumbing and a/c problems we were told that we would be upgraded to an apartment. The apartment while more spacious the apartment was very basic. It had a/c in the bedrooms but no a/c in the living area. If you plan to stay in an apartment please note that they do... More

We attended my son's wedding here. The wedding site was public, people pick-nicking and wandering about. Chairs sunk into sand, hot hot no breeze at all. Reception area, no chairs, open air, charged for water. Wait staff was nice but did not want me to go get a chair for a disabled person in our party. Somewhat run down appearance... More

I was planning the trip to this particular place for a few years and was not disappointed. If you look just for beach vacation you could find other places that are more convinient for indulging yourself although one of the 2 beaches on the property - Playa Blanca - is spectacular. My husband and I were planning to see Costa... More

Unless you have a car, you are really stuck here. We stayed here as part of a group tour, in little one-room casitas. Different areas are labeled by name and we stayed in "Jamaica" about 50 feet from the entrance to the restaurant and a very small pool. Our room was also near to the shuttle station (every 30 minutes).... More

I stayed at Punta Leona with my father for a couple days and was thoroughly impressed. The room was nice with a full kitchen and the resort had multiple restaurants to choose from. The Buffet Breakfast was very good and the resident monkeys made it a fun breakfast. The buffet for dinner was ok, but I was not overly impressed.... More
