I just returned from a four day trip to the Zancudo Lodge with my son and have to say that the experience exceeded all of our expectations. The lodge itself has gone through a terriific upgrade and the rooms and dining/bar area are first class (and so is the food!). In addition, our experience fishing and surfing in the beauty... More

My husband and I came here with a group with my company. It was a super fun adventure. We are not fishers, however we did fish for two days. There was not a ton of other choices, although it was so beautiful I would have had no problem enjoying the scenery. The Zancudo Lodge owners were great accommodating the various... More

We just returned from a week long trip to The Zancudo Lodge and had a great time. The lodge is really first class and the owners (Gregg and Goldine) are great. Goldine is a true delight and is definitely the master of all things related to the lodge. Her attention to detail is superb and it shows in everything around... More

My brother,a good friend and I had a wonderful time. The owners and staff made us feel like family. We went there to surf and fish but found many other things to do. The week went by so fast. I would recommend this place to all outdoor enthusiasts. More

We are three couples who after a lot of research decided to stay at The Zancudo Lodge for a fishing/relaxing vacation. The guys were into the fishing and the girls were into the relaxing, although we all went fishing together one day and had a great time and we all had some relaxing time together on the off fishing days.... Just got back from an amazing trip to Zancudo Lodge with my friend. The lodge is beautiful - upscale rooms, gorgeous property, good food and great staff. And, the fishing is amazing. In 4 days of fishing we landed several BIG sailfish, mahi, roosterfish and various inshore species - and we raised several more sails and a few marlin. The... More

Just returned from our Christmas holiday at The Zancudo Lodge. Was hesitant about going with my boyfriend as he was there to fish a few days during our week's stay. Robert ended up fishing 5 out of the 7 days and he said it was awesome. I also was so pleasantly surprised as I had the best time. The staff... More

Costa Rica has still undiscovered or unexplored exuberant Nature sanctuaries, like the Zancudo Lodge, with a great location between the Coto River, with its overwhelming jungle and riverside wild nature and Playa Zancudo, a beautiful wide and long, lonesome beach with fine brown sand. After observing 2 crocodiles just during the 20 minute boat transfer from Golfito, I was sure... More

A notch above the rest, a great lodge. This is now the Zancudo Lodge (www.zancudolodge.com). If you are thinking about heading to the Golfito area, there is no other choice. It isn’t a “spa resort”, but that wasn’t what we wanted or needed out of our vacation. It was our honeymoon, and we just wanted to get away from things... More

You have to be adventurous and laid back to get the most out of this property, we really enjoy it. We have been going to Roy's lodge for several years. Accomodations are Spartan, but very clean and charming, with daily laundry service, bring less, there's a weight restriction on the plane. Great food and staff, and has little "mom and... More
