Casa Marbella is one the few places that you can stay in Tortuguero that is not a lodge and is in the village. Service: Great. Daryl is very knowledgeable of the area and give you a great tour in the early morning for a small fee in a nice quiet boat. Any inquiries or needs he or his wife were... More

I can´t think of any words that can describe the quality and feeling about Casa Marbella. You wont find a better place in Tortuguero. The place is right by the river and Daryl will be there when you arrive with the boat and take care of you. We had a room with riverview and from the first moment we fell... More

What an amazing place! Very simple, but comfortable and clean. The rooms are very nice and having the breakfast by the river is a great experience. Darly makes you feel welcome but more important than that he is very helpful solving our problems. We had lost a bag in the flight and Daryl just kept calling and going online to... More

I am very pleased to see Casa Marbella on the list for trip advisor. We stayed with Daryl and his family back in Jan 2003, when our first born was only 7 months old. They had a little boy also the same age and an older daughter. They were very accomodating and their children were a real joy to have... More

Hotel is a good value for the money. Rooms are simple and basic, but very clean. Daryl, the owner is helpful with directions, finding guides or anything else. Bed was the most comfortable in Costa Rica. If you don't want to stay at the upscale, costly hotels, then this hotel is a good choice. Breakfast was wonderful also.

My trip to Tortuguero was one of the highlights of my vacation in Costa Rica and the stay at Casa Marbella was an unexpected delight. The host, Daryl Loth, was helpful in planning my trip to his remote location as well as arranging for, or personally taking us on, tours when we arrived. The rooms were very clean and ample... More

Our family of 5 arrived in Tortuguero by way of private transfer from La Fortuna to La Pavona and then taking an early boat, Clic Clic line, to Tortuguero. Daryl Loth, the proprietor of Casa Marbella, a bed and breakfast in Tortuguero, met us as we stepped off at his dock. The dock doubles as a deck for dining on... More

Casa Marbella (the yellow house in the village) is probably one of the best places we stayed in Costa Rica. Daryl, the Canadian owner, is very friendly and helpful. He organizes exciting early morning tour to the Tortuguero National Park and then arrange an excellent breakfast on his deck facing the jungle. We arrived by airplane early in the morning.... More
