We stayed at Casa Marbella 2 nights. I had high hopes reading the many good reviews on Trip Advisor. In fact, one of the reasons I decided to travel to Tortuguero by public transport and not book a package with a hotel was because I wanted to stay at Casa Marbella and do their tours. My communication with Darryl, the... More

We stayed at Casa Marbella for two nights, booking two rooms. Before arriving, the email communication was excellent and all queries received a quick response. We also booked a canal tour and turtle-watching tour with Daryl the owner, both of which were excellent. The B&B was simple but very clean and its location, right in the heart of the village,... Tortuguero is a "must be" place to visit due to the turtles and the visit of the swampy jungle. I suggest that you do the turtle tour the night you come in and the jungle boat tour the next morning and leave at 1PM because beside these 2 tours there is not much to do. The casitas are basic. We... More

Due to our trip planning we only stayed here 1 night, but we regretted it because we could have stayed here easily multiple nights. Very friendly staff, small but clean rooms, lovely breakfast at the waterfront, centrally located in Tortuguero and they can organise tours for you. It can be warm in the rooms, but all have mosquito screens at... More

Stayed three nights in June 2014. Basic but very clean room. Great location. Nice patio where a good breakfast is served (included in the price). Ear plugs might be good (to us necessary) since the foot path is right outside your window in case your room faces that way. Helpful with advice on trips. Staff speak good English. We went... More

We have stayed here several times and love it. Vey cute, clean and comfortable. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast is good and it has a good location. We have stayed in 3 different rooms here and have been happy with all of them. It is a fairly basic hotel, no tvs and internet only some... More

Our stay was nice but a few drawbacks prevent me from giving this accomodation a better note. First the good points : Location is great, looking over the lagoon from the village of Tortuguero. The receptionist was friendly and the morning boat tour we booked with the hotel was perfect. We were lucky to be just the two of us... More
