There is nothing wrong with this hotel as in other reviews but I want to warn travellers about a restaurant they seem to always use on the journey from San Jose. We stopped mid way for breakfast/lunch both ways from/to San Jose in a rather modern little restaurant that appears to be connected to the hotel. It is a set... More

We stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed ourselves. This is a small hotel and staff remember your name so it feels almost like family. Rooms are comfortable and have air conditioning which is great in the rather humid conditions. The restaurant has very friendly service (say hi to Valerie and Geison), and nice food. We had two excursions around... More

This boutique hotel is well run, comfortable plus has air conditioning in the rooms. Transportation here depends on boat. The hotel has a trail through often boggy rain forest but that is it apart from views of the lagoon. The town of Tortuguero, also accessed by boat, leads to a beach on the Carribean. The town has shops, restaurants etc.... More

A perfect hotel in a beautiful nature! Upon arrival we were welcomed with a nice tropical drink and introduced too the personnel. The rooms are very big with 2 comfortable beds and the bathroom has an indoor and an outdoor shower. The food is really great, and the hotel had a really nice feel about it. There are a lot... More

I loved my stay in Tortuguero and one the reasons I loved it so much was the hotel. Transportation to the hotel and back to the station was perfectly organised. With the guide, manager and captain. Restaurant offers menu, so you can choose whatever you want for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Rooms are big, cozy and clean. Staff is nice,... More

The rooms very clean and had comfortable beds The food is great with very good options, my personal favorite tuna fish plate... was superb!! The canal tour very... More

As we arrived here by boat, we were greeted with a tropical drink and friendly smiles. This place combines the right amount of nurture and nature. The rooms are cozy and clean with a touch of elegance. The staff is always available to answer questions, share stories about tortuguero, and provide you with whatever you need. It is unlike many... A 3 hour coach trip followed by 1 1/2 hour boat trip from San Jose takes you to a little piece of heaven in the form of the Manatus Hotel near Tortuguero. There are only 12 rooms, and EVERY member of staff was knowledgable and helpful. We took several trips along the canal and river systems, spotting all sorts of... More

Our adventure began Friday morning with a 6am pickup from our hotel in San Jose. We then hopped on a boat for a 45 minute ride to our final destination-Manatus Hotel. Hotel Staff was with us all the way and guided us through every aspect of our journey. Both transfer services were scheduled to the minute and included a chance... More

I visited Hotel Manatus for the 2nd time this past weekend and was reminded why I fell in love with it the first time almost 7 years ago . . . As our plane descended onto the tiny airstrip surrounded by lush Caribbean vegetation, I was transported from the hustle and bustle of every day life to the primal beauty... More
