This was the first and favourite of our many stops in Costa Rica. You get the canals, the rain forest, the ocean and all the wonderful wildlife that comes with! We spent the days canoeing and spotted Caymen crocs and following famillies of monkeys around the hotel, swinging in the tree tops. The room, the food, pool, the whole grounds... More

This was our first destination on our trip around Costa Rica. The hotel is in the middle of the jungle and the entry is at on of the many small canals. From the hotel premises you walk directly onto a beautiful beach. The region is notorious for the amount of rain, but we were lucky to have three days of... More

My boyfriend and I spent 3 days and 2 nights at the Turtle beach lodge. Our time there was great and our guide, Marvin was both friendly and knowledgeable. He went out of his way to ensure we had a great time especially when we went kayaking with him where he spent an hour extra out with us on the... More

There was a pool table and bar and swimming pool. A boat station at the lodge where people came and left by boat. The boats were good but no body bothered to... More

We had a very nice stay at the Turtle Beach lodge. Very friendly staff and a nice pool. This lodge seemed to be rather expensive but our price included all excellent tours with a guide, transportation, and food so it was a great value. We saw lots of wildlife including a basilisk lizard running across the water and then getting... More

Turtle Beach Lodge, 5 miles north of the town of Tortuguero, is a secluded resort spanning 175 acres with miles of jungle trails, a meandering private canal, and a half mile of beach adjoining still more isolated beaches. The lodge accommodates approximately 80 guests; assisted by a well trained staff and guides who ease you into an exciting jungle experience.
