This place is truly magical and was a highlight of our stay. Seeing the green turtles preparing their nests and laying eggs at midnight was a unique experience. The wildlife boat tour at 730am was tremendous, our guide Gustavo was exceptionally knowledgeable and a really nice, friendly guy. I recommend the village tour too. Our room gave the impression we... My wife and I came here for part of our honeymoon. The place was beautiful and everything was taken care of for us, but in our case, the room isn't nearly as important as the people we meet and the things we get to do (we're not really sit by the pool kinds of people). On top of being a... More

We stayed here for two nights as part of our Caravan tour and it was a wonderful experience. The staff were so happy and helpful. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and showed you all kinds of wildlife. The rooms were very clean and fresh. The Howler monkeys were your early morning wake up call as there is no glass... Wow...we stated at Anhinga Lodge as part of a Caravan Tour. This place is truly a piece of heaven! You must travel by boat for approximately 1hour 45 minutes. The wildlife is very impressive. Sloths, caimans, crocs, toucans, monkies, butterflies, birds, etc. The lodge is very comfortable The cabins have tin roofs which are a bit noisy at night when... More

We spend 2 nights here as part of a Caravan Tour. This property is only accessible by boat or plane and is in the jungle. We arrived by boat after an amazing ride down the rivers and canals. We saw so much wildlife - sloths, monkeys, caimans, lots of birds and a nest of baby turtles rushing to the Atlantic.... More

We just got back last week... Beautiful place ...we had no rain - lots of sun! We saw monkeys, cameens, lots of birds, frogs and turtles in the river. We saw one green turtle that came up to nest but she changed her mind! :( The food was awesome! Loved the pool. Saw a dolphin in the river too! Read... More

Top notch operation that serves your every demand each day. Gardeners, Waiters, Bartenders, Cleaning Staff, Cooks, Hosts, Managers.... Tons of staff to cater to your preferences. I have never had so many choices for breakfast in the morning.... They prepared our fish that we caught to eat each evening over and above the wonderful meal provided already. A definite 5... More

Our family (grandparents, parents and two children, ages 11 and 8) spend three wonderful days at the Lodge. From the moment we were greeted by the staff on the dock as our boat approached the lodge to two of the staff standing on the runway holding umbrellas over us as we boarded a plane for Arenal, all of our wants... Our family of 6 stayed here and had a great time! Staff was helpful, kind, friendly. Great guides and wait staff. Tons of food served family style! Great setting. No AC, but didn't need it. Seeing the turtles was a highlight of our trip to CR!

My husband, daughter and I stayed at the Laguna Lodge for two nights. While the rooms were not luxurious, they were clean and adequate and there was certainly plenty of hot water in the showers. The hotel grounds are beautiful, with plenty of the local fauna to be seen. We found the staff, starting with our guide, very helpful and... More
