We looked at this clean little place on our way up the coast as the boat to Nicaragua left from there. It appeared to be fairly new and well kept. It is right on the canal, across from the Sunrise Cafe (great eats), half way to the park entrance from the public dock. They have 10 rooms.

I was looking up otions for a budget accomodation in Tortuguero Village, but found none.
So when I arrived I just looked a bit around and found this excellent little "Hotel" with about 10 clean rooms, which are basic, but above avarage, with a double and a single bed, a desk(!!!) and an en suit bathroom with hot water (!!!)....
