What a location...right in the Rainforest. The resident Howler Monkey wakes you at 5am whether you are ready or not!! Not a fancy room but all the basics are covered. No windows .. just screens. Lovely front porch to sit on. Great food. Beautiful beautiful grounds. Rained like mad one night and the rain on the metal roof was wild!!!... More

I can't say enough good things!! The resort/hotel is GORGEOUS!! it's like a little elf village at night when you walk thru the cabins which are all like private rustic cabins in the forest! Not to mention a true abundance of wildlife. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

In the middle of the rainforest, access alb only by boat. Be prepared for very clean but rustic accommodations! No windows or A/C, only screens and ceiling fan and be prepared for a lot of noise in the evenings from frogs and monkeys at daylight. If you are looking for a jungle type experience, this place will be fine but... More

Wow !!! What a beautiful natural environment. The lodges are so beautiful in the middle of the rainforest with big rooms, clean bathrooms. At night we felt like we are sleeping in open as we were able to hear all sounds of the forest. It was an absolutely thrilling experience. The dining area Was big with lots of options. I... More

After an amazing boat ride to get to the lodge we where greeted with a soft drink cocktail. This lodge was a great place to relax. The room was nice and clean with plenty of space for luggage. The nature is fantastic and this lodge was situated a 5 min boat ride to Tortuguero, which ran frequently. We had breakfast,... More

Our trip from San Jose to Tortuguero National Park was quite a long one. Collected from the hotel at 6.30, and then changing from a mini- bus to a large coach, collecting people all the while, we made our way out of San Jose heading to the Caribbean coast, stopping for a pleasant breakfast, before transferring to a speedy boat... Great experience. We stayed in a bungalow. There are no windows only musquito nets, so at night you here all the jungle sounds (crickets, clickbeatles, frogs). In the early morning you WILL be awakened by howlermonkeys. The rooms are basic, nothing fancy but that is the idea. Totally love this place. Most of the time tortuguero is in a package... More

The location is amazing. Getting there by boat (the only way, no cars allowed). The rooms were great for being in rain forest. Food was okay. The wildlife was amazing. You can walk around the grounds or take a tour on the river. So much wildlife to see, especially the monkeys and birds. Rooms had only screen, now window panes.... More

A good place to start your visit to tortuguero. Access is by boat and the trip to get there is an adventure in itself. We arrived to find capuchin monkeys right outside our bungalow and the wildlife and variety of birds you can see is great. There are two pools and the bungalows are basic but clean and comfortable. The... More

This is a good base to see the Tortugero NP from it we did have a couple of issues. When we first arrived we were in a big group and when we got to our cabin, they were doing some repair work on it. We went back to reception and asked for another room. They weren't able to move us... More
