This place is away from this world. Great location, great staff, rain, monkeys, canals, good food, disconnected of everything!!! The place you need to escape from stress. People is very nice and kind. Pachira agency is very professional and they have very good prices. Highly recommended!!

What an amazing place Evergreen Lodge is. From the moment we arrived on the boats we were transported into another world of birds, insects, monkeys, trees (and mosquitos). Our lodge was simple but effective and our only tiny criticism would be the total lack of hanging space. However, that said we absolutely loved it. We saw and heard so much.... More

Pros: - Bungalows were really cool, well insulated with mosquito nets. - The Canopy zip line activities were fun and their staff fun and professional. - The staff was friendly. - The surroundings were ridiculously stunning. - The wildlife around the area. - Very close from Tortuguero NP. Cons: - Restaurant offered slightly poor choices and breakfast wasn't offered for... More

During my short trip in the caribean side of costa rica i stayed 2 nights at the Evergreen lodge. The property is surrond by a spectacular forest, more tan 50 species of birds i saw during the 2 days, snake, frogs, monkeys and beautiful insects...and all under another poor poor rain. The food is pretty good (breakfast, lunch and dinner).... More

We were due to spend two nights here but due to an error by our UK tour operator we were a day late arriving into Costa Rica so lost a night here. The lodge is built to serve a purpose and that is to allow trips on the canals to see the wildlife. It seems that a two-night stay is... More

I loved this hotel! First thing is that you must go here knowing that it's simple yet great! This is not a 5 start resort with all the amenities so do not go into this expecting that but expect to be whisked away from your daily life and thrust into the rainforest where you can hear the howler monkeys (sound... Wow this place is amazing, completely not what I was expecting. The cabin we were staying in was so comfortable and clean, it doesn't have windows but still no real bugs got into our room. You feel like you are living in the rainforest, its just amazing. The hotel comes with a package, the trip from San Jose was comfortable... More

A place you HAVE TO experience to understand. You sit in the middle of the rainforest with nature all around you. Luxurious camping is how I'd refer to it. You don't even notice there is no TV--who needs it with all the natural sounds. Only accessible by boat, which is part of the experience. Walk the grounds, take it all... More

We really loved this lodge. First you travel by boat up and amazing river where you get to see lots of wildlife. We were greeted with a lovely fruit cocktail. Our lodges were truly amazing. Lovely veranda with rocking chairs on to while away a few moments. Lovely en-suites, and rooms with fans. Amazing grounds. Food delicious. Wifi only worked... More

An amazing lodge in a great location . We were woken (early) by Howler monkeys every morning. The trips were worth doing we saw Camen, lizards, sloths, frogs, monkeys and numerous magnificent birds. Our guide Manfred was excellent. The swimming pool and pool bar were also outstanding, really fun to see the monkeys on the waterfall just before it started flowing.... More
