Was slightly worried about staying in a wooden bungalow in the rainforest but this was actually really great. Room was clean and spacious and loved just having mosquito nets and no glass for windows. The whole boat transfer thing was very smooth despite the rain - our bags suffered no damage and neither did we! The whole operation - hikes,... More

If you are looking for an experience in the middle op the rainforest, this is the place you have to go to. All the rooms have no windows and you can hear every sound that comes from the jungle. During the night you have the possibility of doing a turle spotting tour on the beach were during the season (june-septembre)... More

Great place to stay in. Room was fine but bed was small. Plenty to see around the lodge from monkeys in trees to frogs hidden..and lots of things falling onto the tin hut roofs. Great fun. Meals were at set times and were buffet style. Nice pool area with bar.

I did not realize that to get here from San Jose we would take a 2+ hour bus ride and then a one hour boat ride to get to this remote spot! You can only get here by boat, there are no roads. It turned out to be the best part of out trip! The boat ride was beautiful, the... More

We are a family of three- mum, dad and a teenage daughter. We stayed here for 2 nights in the wet season and had a fabulous time even though we saw lots of rain ( rainforest...wet season... No surprise there then...) The pick up and drop off arrangements were very easy. We were picked up by a guide from our... More

Stayed here for two nights and it's just fantastic. The grounds are superb, just full of wildlife. Meals are at set times, but service is efficient and the food is good with multiple choice. We did several trips outand each one was superb and I can't really describe everything we did and saw. A great time here

What a beautiful place. In the middle of the tropical jungle is this fantastic hotel. Every cabin is nicely furnitured and the surroundings were fantastic. Also the trip to the lodge makes it advanturous. With the boats through the canals.

We came here for a one night stay through Jungle Tom Safaris. The lodge was great! Wi fi was u reliable, but that's all the "negative" comment we have! The food was fine, the staff friendly, the installations nice and clean, the pool awesome. Great jungle experience, the first one for our 8 and 10 year old. Oh, I guess... More

My husband and I really enjoyed our say at evergreen lodge, this a beautiful spot, lots of howler monkeys, and spider monkeys and many many more animals, this a really nice introduction to Costa Rica, and the rainforest, the rooms are rustic with sceens that allow the sounds of nature, the staff are wonderful, the food was great, great place... After a fascinating boat trip from a makeshift harbour through rainforest we arrived at the Evergreen Lodge to be greeted by a fruit drink. A short welcome and then off to our rooms. Yes they are basic, set amongst well kept gardens but they were fine (although the shower - clean - did give off an 'interesting aroma'!) The pool... More
