Our stay at pachamama was perfect! The bungalows were clean, the location was great, the food was exceptional and the price was right! This property is beautiful, and we were able to soak it all in right from our deck. Our hosts Bill and Cathy were very helpful with arranging all of our excursions(horsebacking riding, canopy tours, and waterfall hike)... more

There’s no more authentic Caribbean Costa Rica destination than Pachamama. Far enough outside of town to offer peace and tranquility, just a short walk to the beach, next to a tranquil river for kayaking, and surrounded by rainforest plants, animals, birds and beauty. We stayed in the one bedroom house for a week in early June. Bill and Kathy were... more

We loved our trip to Pachamama from April 20-May1! The place is set in a beautiful jungle filled with birds and monkeys and we even saw a poison dart frog or two. Comfortable and relaxing, we cooked fish seafood purchased in Puerto Viejo and at the Duende Gourmet in Playa Chiquita and ate on our deck amid the jungle sounds.... more

Pachamama is absolutely the place to stay! We stayed in one of the small bungalows/ "La Casita." It was small, simple, and felt a bit rustic, but comfortable, clean, and what I expected when traveling in Costa Rica. It had a small fridge, sink, and gas camping stove. The porch is perfect with a small table and chairs and 2... more

My husband, BT, and I stayed at Pachamama for a week in November 2008; for us, it was truly a magical paradise. From the beginning of my trip planning, some of the excellent resources on the Pachamama web site helped so much to answer questions and give me a start on planning our travel to Punta Uva. Bill was very... more

Bill and Cathy are great host they helped us plan parts of our trip before we got to Costa Rica. They are wonderful and very willing to help out in any way, on our first night there they stocked our fridge with some things we couldn't get. Besides the wonderful owners the location is amazing the beach is right across... more

* We were able to experience Pura Vida (POO-rah VEE-dah) first hand...A ten day get away from business appointments and deadlines at Pachamama allowed for us to leisurely reconnect with nature and friends. Bill and Cathy helped us along the way at Pachamama, a tropical home away from home. The casita was gracious and accommodating within. Comfortable outdoor seating nestled in... more

My wife and I just returned from Costa Rica after 5 days at Pachamama, and it was incredible. Incredible value, incredible wildlife, and incredible support from the proprietors Bill and Cathy Carroll. For first time travelers from the United States, we were a little uncertain about our itinerary and local routines and customs. But Bill took great care to make... more

Pachamama, Punta Uva, was a great place to spend a week in Costa Rica, especially for a small group on a tight budget. The cabina was private, clean and pleasantly located amidst tropical trees and flowers. It was amazing to awaken to the sound of howler monkeys and singing birds. While there was a secluded jungle feel about the place,... more
