Cashew Hill has the benefit of being the only lodging in Puerto Viejo with views of the ocean, and the elevation means nice breezes as well. I am here now in cottage Sloth and love it. It has cool tile floors downstairs and beautiful hardwood floors upstairs. Everything is spotless. All cottages have full kitchens, some have more or fewer... More

This place is amazing along with the owner! Our accommodation was spotless, very clean and comfortable. We have found all we were looking for our short break in Puerto Viejo. The accommodation is just 4 minutes from the centre of the village and offer all you need for a nice relaxing stay. The view from our lodge was amazing, all... More

Really awesome guys here at Cashew Hill. Super Accommodating and the cottages are incredible. The property is gorgeous and the view of the ocean is hard to beat. I only use trip advisor if I'm blown away and I was. So 5 stars is my rating!

Cashew Hill was our favorite spot in Costa Rica! Set back from the main drag in Puerto Viejo it gives its guests a sense of living in the Jungle with amazing ocean views! It's an easy walk to anywhere in town and we felt safe with our belongings. The staff is great! Each structure has its own unique character and... More

We had a wonderful time at Cashew Hill. Andrew is a great owner/host, and I enjoyed talking with him about the hotel and the area. He really knows his stuff, having been in the area for years. This is a rustic, laid-back, but very well-run hotel in a good spot - it is on the hill above town, but it's... More

We traveled around Costa Rica for a week and Puerto Viejo and Cashew Hill were our favorite spot. The cottages are a really nice, relaxing, and clean place to stay and hang out. Andrew and Edwin helped us out with things to do in the area and traveling when we were in a rut with things we hadn't planned before... More

Absolutely loved staying here and will definitely be going back the next time we head to the Caribbean side of Costa Rica. Andrew, Sean and Edwin were fantastic hosts, laid back and helpful. The cabins are much larger than we expected and a great value. The yoga classes on the platform overlooking the sea were an added treat. Secluded property... More

We absolutely loved our time at Cashew Hill. You can hear the ocean waves while begin perched in a jungle cabin - the best of both worlds. Just a short walk to town and the beach, but secluded and private. The grounds were beautiful kept and the hosts were incredibly accommodating. Andrew, Sean, and Edwin went above and beyond to... Andrew and Edwin were on duty when we arrived and made us feel welcome. This is an amazing place, and there is a lot of wildlife in the area. Edwin had binoculars and pointed out the wildlife he spotted. We really enjoyed our stay, and would definitely stay here again. It is a short walk to the beach and strip.... More

We were traveling with another couple, and this was the perfect accommodation! A short walk away from town, it was a retreat yet so close to everything. We stayed in the Canopy Cottage, and Playa Negra. Playa Negra was superior by far!! It offered screened in community space so we could all hang out at night, yet we had our... More
