We absolutly loved this! Beautiful bungalows, nice area, beautiful beaches. We wish we could have stayed longer! Breakfast was very good and we had good wifi in our bungalow (toekan)! We recommand this to everyone who wants to visit Puerto Viejo!

CRABS. I love 'em. Which is a good thing, because they're all over the place here. The grounds keepers have put small pipes over the gardens for them to live in. You won't notice them until they scuttle back into the pipes as you walk past. A charming bungalow with an unusual hot water system; it heats through pipes as... More

Azania was very true to the jungle, it was clean and the bungalow was adorable. They are right in the heart of the jungle. My only complaint is that the owner was not friendly at all. Being dubbed a B&B, they never say hello. The staff was nice but, it felt edgy. You could feel tension like they were walking... More

We spent two nights at the Azania Bungalows after a week of roughing it in Gandoca and it was bliss! Big breakfasts and quiet, well furnished bungalows. The rooms can be a little dark and as with anywhere in Costa Rica you are bound to get a few 'visitors'. Our favourite stay of the whole trip!

We spent our Honeymoon in the South Caribbean. Azania offers the visitor fantastic luxury bungalows, distributed throughout a property with amazing garden, well taken care of but jungle inspired, not too manicured either. The lodge is just 50 yards from the amazing beach of Cocles. The pool, fresh water Jacuzzi and garden just enhance the entire stay, giving you a... More

We arrived at Azania Bungalows after a very long day of travel at about 1am. Security opened the gate, showed us to our bungalow, made sure we had what we needed and left. All we had to do was crash into our very comfortable beds and fall asleep to the sounds of the jungle surrounding us. We awoke refreshed, and... More

I was there for 2 nights. I really liked the garden and the private hammock each bungalow had. The distance to the beach is very short, to the centre of Puerto Viejo its a little bit dangerous walk at night (because of the traffic) but the staff will call you a taxi (4$ ride). They have mosquito nets and fans.... More

We stayed here for two nights. We got a lodge and it was just perfect. We had a car with us and could visit and dine in the city every night. If you don't have a car you can grab a taxi. The breakfest was very good. Each day you can choose your breakfast for the next day. Only small... More

I really liked Azania Bungalows. The individual bungalows are amazing, with the screens letting you hear the noise from the jungle. Bungalows are nice, too. I had no trouble with hot water - it was hot whenever I needed it hot. I used the hammock several times. The staff here is great. The helped with tours and answered any questions... More

This hotel was chosen by the tour package company that I had booked with, and after reading the reviews I was a bit apprehensive - especially about the food, but on the contrary I found the food perfectly acceptable and good value in comparison with other places. Also the staff were extremely helpful and freindly. Breakfast was fine and lunch... More
