I traveled to San Jose and then took the public bus to Puerto Viejo. Later I discovered Puerto Viejo to have great food and good nightlife. What an amazing place. Even in the rainy month of November it was one of the most increadible experiences I have had. Being here places you not just close to nature but in nature. The food is fantastic and the people you meet are wonderful. Stayed for a week but could easily have stayed another month. more

Everything about Samasati was inviting to me. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, the vegetarian food was the best I've had, and the staff was wonderfully helpful and friendly.
