Geckoes is an extraordinary place - utterly breathtaking. Upon arrival, I was rendered speechless by it's incredible location, it is like landing smack-bang in the middle of the rainforest. We were welcomed by our faultless hosts, Zoe & Tom (more about them in a moment!) We were shown up a little path, to our "cabin", Casa-del-Bosque... cabin does not to... More

An amazing experience, Casa del Bosque was absolute heaven on earth, i stayed there originally with a plan to stay only for an extended weekend, but after said weekend, with my private pool the tranquility and beauty of the place i extended my stay for a further 2 WEEKS, Using Geckoes Lodge as my base for my travels around Puerto... Gekoes has everything worked out very well except for it's location. Yes Tom/Zoe are excellent hosts, the environment they have designed, the bungalows and natural beauty are all excellent. Not cheap at all, but of a very high standard. I can say with some confidence it is probably the best place to stay in terms of quality of accommodation. And... More

Thank you Riddhi for taking the time to write a review. We are very pleased you appreciated the house and grounds but concerned we disappointed you on some points. We would like to take this opportunity to clarify a few things. When you were here the road was in indeed in the worst state we have seen for many years.... More

We stayed in Geckoes Lodge for 5 nights which wasnt long enough. We loved it!! We stayed in their 2 person apartment. We felt totally secluded in our little nest. Our favourite part was the plunge pool and all of the bedroom doors that opened out into the jungle so that we could watch the birds from bed in the... More

We chose Geckoes because of the beautiful pictures and I found out how close it is to The Jaguar Rescue Center, and my life goal was to hold a monkey. Geckoes surpassed all my expectations. Starting from booking Tom and Zoe were so helpful in answering all my random questions and even set us up with a driver from San... More

We traveled to Costa Rica for our daughter's Make A Wish Trip at the end of May. After enduring a year of therapy for a brain tumor (yes kids get cancer!), her wish was to see and hold a sloth. What better place to fulfill a wish like that than staying at Geckoes Lodge. Zoe and Tom (owner's) went out... More

We've stayed at Geckoes 3 times now - and would love to get back there again. Can't recommend it highly enough. There are 2 houses - the larger 2-bedroom 'Casa Bromelia' is perfect for families and is elevated above the canopy for excellent bird, butterfly and sloth watching. Watching the garden/jungle come alive in the morning with a pot of... More

My husband and I stayed here in the Casa del Bosque for 4 nights in April 2014 for our honeymoon. The house is as gorgeous as the pictures suggest and it's very private. We made good use of the kitchen for breakfast and lunch, then ate out in the evening. Malbec for steak was especially good. Geckoes Lodge is a... More

Staying at Geckoes Lodge is a truly magical experience. Nestled in the lush jungle you live in an open air, serene lifestyle with beautiful amenities. The layout of our "casa" allowed us to sit each morning watching the jungle come to life around us. Vibrantly colored birds would fly right up to us while we sipped our morning coffee. The... More

Just completed a 3 week tour of the P.V. Talamanca region, which began with 6 nights at Geckoes. My wife and I were in the single bedroom "Casa del Bosque". It was as comfortable and as beautiful an accommodation as we have ever stayed in. Our first time staying in a Rainforest of this nature, we couldn't have felt more... More
