I have been blessed to sport fish in several areas of the world. I have fished several of the Amazon tributaries and Thailand on multiple occasions. I just say this so that you know I have experienced many places so when I say The Rio Parismina Lodge was one of the best trips of my life you will understand what... More

Great food, lodging, guides, charter flight to and from lodge and all the tarpon you can stand. If this sounds like what you're looking for Rio Parismina has it. This was our first trip but it won't be our last. I looked at several lodges that offeredTarpon fishing on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica and Rio Parismina had the... More

I just returned from my seventh trip to Rio Parismina Lodge. Owner, Judy Heidt, has this fishing trip down to a carefree science. From your arrival in San Jose, Costa Rica, to your departure, all details are carefully coordinated to perfection. The Tarpon fishing continues to be an annual excursion for me. Last year, I booked the entire lodge (for... More

Just can't get any better than working with the Rio Parismina guides and catching Tarpon before and after great lunch. Captain Warde Michaels is who you want to call to set up the perfect trip. 407 851-1909. I'm a repeat customer.

My Father and I went to Rio Parismina Lodge a couple of weeks ago. Our plans were altered due to President Obama being in San Jose. All small planes were grounded. Not to worry the lodge had a van waiting for us and we took the long (and scenic) drive close to the lodge. A quick boar ride and we... More

We went on our fishing trip from September 18th-22nd 2012! We hooked 8 tarpon and 5 got to the boat-all about 100 lbs each. My husband caught a 165 lb tarpon, which took a grown man 2 HOURS to get to the boat! Aside from the heat there were no complaints. We would like to thank Judy and all the... More

February 13th found our group of 18 in San Jose looking forward to our 6th trip back to Rio Parismina. The first time you go or do anything is usually the most exciting. You don't know what to expect and everything is new. What keeps us coming back to Judy Heights, Rio Parismina Lodge, is even with our high expectations... More

You cannot beat staying at Rio Parismina Lodge and better yet, fishing with them! The guides are the best and the service they provide even better. You are catered to from landing in San Jose until you return to San Jose for your trip home. The tarpon fishing was great. And if the evening is slow, you can go crocodile... More
