We had no idea what we were getting ourselves into when we pulled into the parking lot after dark and passing by a number of other hotels that did not entice us into their parking lots. It turned out to be a low end (by North European standards) hotel but quite a bargain if all you want is a nice... More

Great food. Not all rooms the sane but room 207 has been the best do far. Peaceful and pleasant for a working stay. Nice sound of the ocean. Great Wifi connection in all rooms. Great room service. Worthwile. Pricey but ok. Great to work in the restaurant.

Hotel,is situated right on the water and offer a beautiful view of the Atlantic. Rooms are sparse and cheaply decorated. Doors are closed using an old fashion key, and if you forget to turn the know on the inside, the door isn't looked. With some minor investment, this could be a great place to stay.

A bit disappointed with Hotel Playa Bonita. We drove from Quepos to Limon only to find out that our reservation was not honored. When I approached the "reservation desk behind a teller window", I was basically told that they had no more rooms.....no apologies, no help to find something else. I asked for the manager, who apologize and blamed booking.com... More

My family and I stayed there for a week. Rooms are nice and so was the staff but they need to add telephones and microwaves to rooms and also have someone available to help with take suite cases to the rooms. There also need to be more choices for breakfast.

Except for the great location, there is nothing really worthwhile mentioning. Rooms are just that. A crippling bed, bear furniture, windows that don't close, no bedside lamp, etc. the facilities are at the same level. Outside seating in the evenings is cozy and has the Caribbean atmosphere. All in all: you can enjoy the odd stay, but I wouldn't spend... More

We have stayed at Hotel Playa Bonita on our Costa Rica vacation for the past three years. The rooms in the newer section overlook the ocean and have beautiful views! The room itself is more than adequate, with a good air conditioning unit when you need it, plus the windows open for a nice ocean breeze. The lovely Cocori Restaurant... More

I spent only one night at Hotel Playa Bonita after driving from the Pacific. My objective was to surf Playa Bonita's rights and for that the hotel was the best location. I could see the break from my room window. One thing that bothered me, however, was the fact that two days prior to my arrival I tried to make... More

The hotel iteslf reminded me of a motel, the rooms are clean, large but sparsely furnished, unfortunatley the lighting is greenish and horrible. The bathroom was functional but no hairdryer. Internet was free but signal stgrength was not very good, be careful to pick one of the table on the restaurant terrace where Internet works! All in all I had... More
