This place was fantastic! Even more enjoyable than I had envisioned it. Our lodge in the Osa Peninsula had recommended this lodge and I had reviewed it online before committing to staying here. The website looks great but I can honestly say it doesn't do this place justice at all. This place is absolutely beautiful - a perfect place to... More

I couldnt give a higher review of Rio Chirripo. We had an absolutely fabulous stay here and were very well attended too. The meals are incredible - don't miss out! Take advantage of the nature path, gorgeous yoga room, and fireplace. Do get to know Frank and Oriana. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

My wife and i stayed at Rio Chirriipo Retreat for 5 days, and this was easily the best place we have stayed in our travels. True to its name it was a well planned retreat that has been given much thought and work to create a environment where you could relax and enjoy every part of it, including the Meditation... More

Thank you for a wonderful stay! We considered Rio Chirripo to be the nicest place we stayed on our trip to Costa Rica. The facility was beautiful, the food delicious but the best part was the genuine warm and welcoming hospitality. Truly a joy and I hope more weary wanderers are lucky enough to find their way to the Rio... More

Beautiful setting, comfortable rooms, fabulous breakfast, friendly owners and staff. My room had a balcony overlooking the hills with a rocking chair and outdoor sofa. A very peaceful place to relax either by the pool or down by the river. Since there was only wifi in the main reception/restaurant area we were able to enjoy the natural surroundings without being... After visiting several places at the Atlantic side of Costa Rica we visited Rio Chiripo. I never visited a place that gave me at once more a feeling of inner peace and the feeling of being in heaven as this place. The environment, the continuous sound of the river in the river cabin, the best food i found in Costa... More

Rio Chirripo Retreat is a slice of heaven. So peaceful. Energizing. The food is WONDERFUL. Worthy of a place twice the price. Frank and Oriana are the sweetest hosts and will make do whatever they can to make your trip fun and beautiful. The River cabin is so peaceful! The sound of the river lulled us to sweet, sweet sleep!

Rio Chirripo is an incredibly special place. Frank and everyone who worked, visited, practiced yoga or visited was super cool, mellow, friendly and genuine. The owner was always generous, kind and helpful and we were fed amazing, fresh, delicious food constantly by the local chef. This place is magical!

My family visited Rio Chirripo Retreat for 2 nights in February 2015 during our family vacation. We drove there straight from San Jose airport and arrived just after dark. The owners Frank and Ori were already waiting for us and set us up in our gorgeous room right away. We then ate a delicious 3 course dinner and enjoyed a... More

My nephew and I wanted to visit a part of Costa Rica new to us as well as climb Mount Chirripo. I passed since I'm older than my 22 old nephew but he climbed it and stayed overnite at the top and made many new friends. We were blessed to find Rio Chirripo retreat as our base since the view...
